Only the kitchen and guest rooms were accessible. There was no sense of experiencing a Victorian home Towels and other amenities were below par」

「The inn keeper was very nice and even upgraded our room free of charge to the corner room with a view of the town. The building is a beautifully upkept, literally Victorian style inn on the main strip of Ferndale; only 15 minutes from downtown Eureka. The dining room and bar have a homely feel with the large fireplace and friendly staff. Each room at the inn is unique in its own right and theme. I was surprised at how tall the ceilings are because usually older buildings have lower ceilings, but...

「Redwood Suites is like stepping back into time…around late 60’s early 70’s decor. That said, the room was clean and kitchen was pretty well appointed. Shower is tiny. Continental breakfast available in the Hotel across the street and there was in room coffee available. The pub in the main hotel is excellent.」

「We would definitely stay in this cabin again and recommend it to others. It was nicely updated, clean and very quiet. I would just recommend they check the fireplace and leave specific directions, as we couldn't get the controller to turn it on.」

「It was fine, house was cute but filled with Knick knacks which kind felt like staying at your grandmas house. Like look but don’t touch anything. Not sure what they meant by walk to old town, everything we did for food, etc was 8-10 minute drive. The streets have no street lights so walking anywhere at night was out. Worked as a base to visit redwoods np and tidal pools which is what we wanted」

「I wanted to take a bath so I got a couple of the Clorox wipes to wipe down the bath tub. The first swipe I did came up with debris and hair. It grossed me out, so I decided to take a shower. The water lapped at my ankles because there was so much hair clogging the drain!! Then I dropped something behind the nightstand and found tons of dust there. Looked clean, but was only clean in the middle. 」

「Beautiful views of Clam Beach and comfy beds! We stayed 3 nights and found the property well appointed. Beautiful hot tub and plenty of private outdoor space to enjoy; we particularly enjoyed the outdoor gas fire pit. This was our second stay there and we will definitely be back!」
