“This was the perfect getaway to truly disconnect from civilization for a while. A truly unique experience. The house is perfectly located on the waterfront with a view of the water in the mountains, with whales and seals swimming past. Our host took great care of us, including picking us up at the dock. There are some good local hiking, just watch out for the bears. Food and groceries are available, though limited. Everything is walkable, and there is beauty all around.”

#CreekStreet #Ketchikan #Alaska Creek Street is a historic area of Ketchikan. The street is actually a boardwalk mounted on a set of stakes that support the dwellings built on the water. Formerly it was the district of the red light of Ketchikan. The brothels were banned and closed in 1954. Now the street is a place with shops, galleries, totems and the museum of the House of Dolly. Creek Street was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. A Creek Street é uma área histórica de Ketchikan.
