“The scenery is nice, but there were nuisance calls in the middle of the night, and then the front desk knocked on our door, waking us up, asking if we needed tissue. Didn't sleep well.”

“It’s an older hotel so don’t expect the Ritz! Most properties are getting run down due to age. OC is not what it used to be, I’m from OC NJ and our boardwalk is 100 times better and longer! It’s sad how run down everything looked but we had a good time!”

“Overall good stay. Beds were soft. Hotel is in a good location. You can walk to the house of pancakes and there is a Dunkin right next to the hotel. I would suggest not getting in too late, parking is scarce later at night. My only complaint is that the walls are thin and you could hear everything. Other than that, it was good for a 2 night stay.”

“Really terrible. The listing said three bedrooms, but one was a laundry room with a cot which could only fit when folded up. Quite run down and dirty. Stay away.”

“I can’t say enough about the staff at the Castle in the Sand. We had to move from another unrelated hotel in the area after a very poor experience and everyone we dealt with was so helpful. ”

“The property was clean and the staff polite and helpful. The breakfast included with your stay was surprisingly good. The carpet in the hallway on the 4 th floor where we stayed was a little lumpy possibly from water damage but the rest of the property was well kept and well managed. I definitely would recommend and would stay there again.”
