“easily the best place I've stayed this year. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the room was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped, and everything exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great, and the whole hotel felt well run and inviting. Fantastic value for money in a great location. I'll definitely be staying here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting the area.”

“The room was good for my one night stay over. Hotel was a a bit tired looking in places. Good for the price though and a delicious cooked to order English breakfast plus a selection of continental items too. Staff friendly.”

“Rooms was on the small side. 4' 6" bed, but very comfortable. Room didn't have any workable ventalation. All work surfaces paint gloss grey, but were sticky, In the bath room everything worked. But shower didn't drain quickly, so could flood the room. No curtain or blind at window, likewise for the single window at the rear.. Had to get kettle replaced, as it blew the fuses. On Saturday night alot of noise from the occupants of rooms above until 2.30pm. Glad we were only staying……

“Very pleasant room in pub /hotel in centre of town with fast wifi and all amenities. Cooked breakfast also included -although quite a short time for breakfast - between 8.30 and 10 on a Saturday. But breakfast was fine.”

“We stayed here while at the State Fayre festival and will definitely stay here again if there is another festival next year. Friendly staff, lovely gardens and comfortable rooms (although air conditioning would’ve been nice during the heatwave!) Only suggestion would be: upgrade the toiletries in the rooms please. Two tiny watery bottles is not enough!”
