“The room and facilities are old looking and small. Especially for the bathroom. But the beds are clean and tidy and provide car parking. ”

“Ideal location. Parking on the street outside - free after 6:00pm. Lisa was great help with check in and drinks. Nice breakfast.”

“The hotel and our room was visually well decorated and quirky. Our room was unreasonably hot without the heater even being on. The temperature outside being approximately 13o. We could not open our window as some sort of generator was right outside. Noisey and possibly the source of the heat in our room?? The breakfast was again visually gorgeous and the breakfast selections ample.”

“Had a nice 1 night stay in the Brander Lodge Hotel whilst enjoying the local area. Parts of the hotel could do with some tlc, but the breakfast room, dining room and bar area were lovely and the food was great. We liked the gardens with the river at the bottom. Bedroom clean and comfy. Great hotel for the price. We will go back.”

“Both elevators were out at one point, the staff couldn’t check me in even minutes earlier than the 3pm guideline,and the whole ‘meal thing’ felt weird about inclusions or exclusions. Pay to park (but only 10 pounds) for two nights - but still…great location for rail or ferry, but the staff couldn’t check use an upgrade. PS. Why are the damn hallways so narrow to your room? I could barely get by a maids cart…seems like the fire regulations would be wider. Narrowest I have ever seen in any hotel.……
