"Our stay at the Bären was fantastic. The staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating. The Hotel and room is very clean. We were able to do early check in and our room had a little fridge and microwave, which was fantastic because we travelled with a toddler. They also put in a little bridge between the two single beds so we could all sleep in the big bed, no baby bed needed. "Hotel is right next to bus stop that goes to Thun, which is perfect if you need the convenience of travel. Staff is very friendly and assisted me when they couldn’t find my booking or work the safe. I dock a couple of stars because the room is slightly dated (no free outlets to plug into next to the beds) and there isn’t someone always at the front desk to help (but perhaps because I went off season). "The hotel is very nice but very small. When large groups are staying the common areas tend to be very crowded. Especially in the morning during breakfast and evenings. When it wasn’t crowded it was lovely though and location to transportation is great."

"Our room was in what looked like a new expansion of the hotel. On the first floor everything was modern and clean.Bed was comfortable and bathroom, although small had very good lighting and decent towels. The things I didn't like about it were, the hair dryer was obviously an old one and didn't work well. Soaps provided were generic and supposed to be used for hand,hair and body. Which I didn't care for.The room was very warm even though the outside temps were in the 40's o F. The a/c did not...

"We had a great stay at the resort. Right by Lake Thun with great views, good food and drinks, and close to the bus stop to visit nearby towns/stations. The spa pool and sundeck were great to spend time in and not crowded. The room was clean and we were provided a fan at no cost for warmer days. Staff was attentive and polite. We would have liked more smoke-free outdoor areas including dining but otherwise we had a great time and would definitely stay there again. "

"This was a great hotel in the heart of Old Town Bern. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was charming. If we return to Bern, we would stay at this same location. "

"We traveled from Aarau where there were all local residents. Thun was the next largest area. Still the local charm and some tourists. Lucern was an even more populated with a ton of tourists. We loved Thun it was the perfect mix of walking, shopping and boat excursions. Hotel Arte was centrally located for all that you would like to do. The Swiss Pass was the best for the clean convenient transportation. "

"Reception asked if we wanted advice on where to eat, we declined but we only found one restaurant open as most places are closed on Mondays. Mercure has a bar but was closed. Mercure has a restaurant but was closed. The next morning we were asked if we enjoyed are stay and said yes but room was very hot. We were then told air-con will not be installed until end of 2023. Not impressed."

"In a lovely spot in the old town of Fribourg. Loads of things to do by foot although it is quite hilly. The lady on reception was amazing, really friendly and very helpful. If going back to the train station use the funicular, quite an experience (powered by sewage!) and takes all the hills out which is handy when you have cases"
