「We checked ourselves in and left a couple of hours later (no staff seen). I hadn’t realised I’d booked a room with shared bathroom and the bathroom was on first floor and we were on the second - we only saw one shower and 2 toilets for all the shared rooms. There’s half carpet in the standalone toilet, which is gross. The rooms themselves are fine, a bit rough round the edges. I’m baffled at the positive reviews, it’s very basic and not good value - we chose to drive 2.5 hours home rather than...
「The view is absolutely beautiful. The overall hygiene was ok, with a small bit of stain on the sheet remaining. However, there was one used instant coffee packaging left, probably due to carelessness of cleaning staff. The worst issue was that the shower was completely not working but the hotel gave us this room knowing that there was a electrical failure for the shower. Although the staff was really polite when we raised this issue in the morning, it does not erase the disappointment at night....
「The room [room 10, double en suite] was nothing like the pictures. First you had to lean on the door to get in cos it's too big for the frame. Then once you are in it smelled like a teenage boys room, sweat and lynx. The carpet was badly worn and peeling off the floor, the cheap divan base was broken so the mattress was either springy or wavy, didn't dare actually look at the mattress... 「Very new renovated hotel. Everything looks nice and well maintained.
However it has no air-conditioning, all you get is just a table fan, me and partner can't sleep for whole night, wake up every hour because of the heat! And the most hilarious thing is the fan making helicopter noises, keep me half awake and dreaming police episodes... Even my little one complained she can't sleep well because the heat!
It's not the hottest day yet, can't imagine how can people stays during very hot...
「The previous reviews are outdated. I had a great stay at Harleys. It was very quiet, clean, and the room was big.
Self check in was very straightforward and the staff were really helpful. They checked in with me to make sure everything was good, which it was.
Very good location, close to shops and train/bus station.
I would happily stay again.」
