「It was an interesting stay. The free breakfast is not what we expected and seems like they stretch it with adding water to the yogurt. The beds were very uncomfortable and our sheets were dirty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful. I do not recommend this as a place to stay longer than 3 days. It was just ok in my experience.」

「The view and the owner/hostess made our stay! The personal attention at breakfast was delightful. This feels more like renting a villa with a morning chef than like a hotel. There are a couple good restaurants at the bottom of the hill for dinner. The drive to La Fortuna is 30 minutes. Be aware there is no air conditioning. There are windows with screens on 3 sides of the villa so the breeze is nice. In the morning you’ll hear a beautiful symphony of birds. I would stay here again.」

「What I liked the most was the staff that were always willing to help and when they see any animals on the property they would take you to see it. we also tried all the breakfast options which was very good. The hot springs were amazing the room was clean every time we came from a tour. We hiked on the property they have trails to go see waterfalls, ceiba tree and a farmhouse. What I didn’t like was they need more lighting and signage along the paths it was very hard to see at night.」

「Hotel is really in a good area. We rent a car so driving out to the attractions weren’t too far from us at all. There are 6 pools/hot tubs to dip in and my son loves them all. My cleaning lady is so nice she made the elephant towel for us and she cleaned the room so well. The hotel is under renovation so some noise woke us up in the morning most of the time but overall we are happy with them. If we come back to La Fortuna in the future, we will definitely stay with them again.」
