"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was extremely disappointing. Before arrival, I specifically requested a quiet room, as I was in Addis on a demanding professional mission and needed proper rest. I was initially shown a larger room facing the main road, which I declined due to the traffic noise. I clearly stated that room size did not matter, only that the room be quiet. I was then told Room 204 was among the quietest available. Unfortunately, the room was far from quiet. Throughout the night, there was constant traffic noise, including heavy trucks passing continuously. The windows appeared to have very poor sound insulation, making sleep almost impossible. Despite earplugs and sleeping medication, I barely slept. At around 4 a.m., after another sleepless night, the receptioni came to the room and acknowledged the noise level herself. I ultimately had no choice but to leave early and book another hotel, despite still having two prepaid nights remaining. There was also a safety issue involving a damaged drawer under the safe with exposed sharp nails. Management later attempted to claim this damage occurred during my stay, despite it clearly being pre existing. Management also later denied there had been a noise issue and claimed there was an unpaid breakfast charge, despite the fact that I was given a final bill at checkout with no pending charges. Overall, both the stay itself and the handling of legitimate concerns afterward reflected poorly on the property."

"The staff at Blue nest were very polite and respectful in their interactions. The wifi was also good. However, the hotel requires significant upgrades to make guest experience alot more pleasant. The rooms could do with painting.The bathroom was generally not in a good condition, particularly with how its structured. Bathroom windows need a curtain at the bearest minimum to ensure privacy (it almost felt as though people could be seeing me take my bath from their balconies due to the lack of curtains or blinds in the bathroom). Also, a shower in the bathrooms would be helpful as well as a curtain to divide the toilet area from the bathing area. An incident happened during my stay that was appalling. The management of the hotel confiscated water I'd bought on the grounds that I'm only allowed to buy water sold at the hotel. Such actions are disingenuous, exploitative and unacceptable. I could only get my water back after confrontation with the management, two days after the water was originally confiscated. The hotel could also do a better job with communicating the time for breakfast, the inconsistencies was not helpful. Sometimes the breakfast was buffet style other times you had to order but none of this was communicated. The elevator at the hotel is in pretty bad condition, I got stuck in it on two occasions. Also, the fact that the hotel did not have a spare key for my room was very concerning. "
