「This was a quick trip focused around seeing Kilauea’s frequent eruption episodes. We chose this vacation rental for budget reasons, and proximity to Volcano national park (40 minute drive). The tiny home was as described, 1 queen bed, 1 twin bed, full bath, well equipped kitchen, except for dishwasher (no big deal) it was tidy enough. 「Just like camping. Carpet had not been vacuumed. There was one light and one outlet that could only be used for charging devices. No hair dryer or curling iron use. 「Stayed at Cabin Kai 4 (Dec 26–30, 2025). Affordable and located in a beautiful, peaceful area with free parking, water, and Wi-Fi (weak).
Major concern: No window coverings for the floor-to-ceiling bathtub window or windows above the bed and coffee bar, resulting in serious privacy issues while bathing and sleeping. This was very uncomfortable.
