「Great little guest house with stunning views. Of Ullswater. We used the guest house as visiting the Inn on the Lake which is literally just across the road. Spotless room and super friendly staff 👍」

「Clean and quiet. The staff are helpful. Fully equipped kitchen and dry room for wet clothes. But the air quality inside the eight people dormitory room is poor because the window is small. 」

「Dogs friendly lodge. I do appreciate people in the UK treat their dogs as families. We saw a lot of friendly dogs in the lodge. What a great experience. The breakfast is nice and the receptionist is enthusing to deliver help. 」

Nice breakfast. Only negative is that the hotel really needs a bit of a refurb/modernisation, but for the price it's still great value. Highly recommended」

「Bathroom was filthy and covered in white powder (possibly plaster dust). Reported it but staff took no action which was very disappointing, especially considering the high cost of the room. Very understaffed and overall poor value for money. Which if booked somewhere else in hindsight as I've stayed in far better lake district hotels for less money.」

「Lovely spot near Grasmere Lake right in the centre of Grasmere. Lots of nice walks nearby. Plenty of pubs/hotels to eat and drink nearby. Would stay here again.」

「Our room, on the first floor, was excellent with lovely views. The food was of a high quality and the service was very good except on one of our three evenings when we were forgotten about and it took at least three complaints to get our meal started. On this occasion we were in the restaurant for about two hours and it took 45 minutes before we got our starter. This was a shame because otherwise everything was perfect.」
