“A wonderful property in such a beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful, surrounded by vineyards with views of Mount Etna and the village of Castiglione perched on a hillside. We loved having access to the swimming pool, the rooms are a good size and the food and wine was excellent. Massimo is a superb host and is exceptionally welcoming and very friendly, providing good local information. “This hotel was a "wow" all around. The photos don't do it justice:
1) The area: the town it was in is super cute. Everyone knows one another in the area. Views of Etna were incredible. Just a very beautiful region of sicily.
2) The service: the front desk helped us book a helicopter tour of etna. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, it was fantastic!
3) Spa: Wow wow wow - beautiful turkish bath, and you get it all to yourself with the fee. My husband and I enjoyed this immensely!

“This was our second stay at Cavanera. The setting is amazing and the restaurant, Riserva, is outstanding. The surrounding area is a wine lover’s paradise. Things to improve…. They should just let the air conditioning run in the gym. It’s a sauna in there. They only turn it on if someone wants to use it which makes no sense to me.
