Allier Family Hotel

"A lovely little hotel close to the centre of town. Room was not big but it’s layout was obviously well thought out with plenty of places to put things away and a good desk. Unlike most hotels here they did have a couple of British entertainment channels on tv. Breakfasts were normal continental but well laid out and in a bright airy room."

"The rooms were clean and welcoming, and the layout was especially pleasing to our teenage son. He enjoyed a second level loft with his own bed and a private space. The best thing about the stay was the food! The dinner was incredible, and the courses were excellent. The breakfast was also very pleasing. "We try to be positive but sometimes ….. Room was disappointing, with vinyl on the floor, cheap curtains and cramped toilet. Shower tiles grouting dirty. Toilet kept running after flushing. Bed springs could be felt. Flashing light in stairway/hall could provoke a fit. The pictures look fine, the reality is very different. Would not return. A good Campanile is better and cheaper."

"Great place to stay we were doing the Vichy half ironman which is about 30min drive away. Where the hotel is there is no noise especially through the night when you need a good sleep. The restaurant in this hotel is excellent. Training around here is great as the roads are quite too. I would definitely stay here again. "

"We had a great time at this property. It is a lovely old building with beautiful inner courtyards and an excellent restaurant. There is an outdoor pool which my husband took advantage of and the hotel is located next to a spa. Unfortunately the spa is closed at the moment for renovations with no date given for reopening. The bedroom was well decorated and the bed extremely comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Bourbon L’Archambault is an interesting historical town and well...

"Good value hotel with nice restaurant, the hotel fronted on to a busy road which might be a disturbance for those guests at the front, but we were at the side/rear. Facilities in the bedroom were good. It is on the edge of town so it is quite a walk to the town/village centre, but a pleasant place to stay."
