Really nice, clean hotel with great, friendly staff and freshly cooked breakfast. Mattress needed replacing in bedroom 17 as it sagged on the nearside to the door. Pillows were excellent.

When visiting Ambleside and walking the Lake District, this is the place to stay. Dry comfortable rooms and amenities. The pub downstairs is stellar. Breakfast was delicious. The area is unbelievable and we had a great time wandering about.

Nice hotel for a few nights

Nice stay in the lakes with the dog. Great staff at the hotel, good breakfast and extensive drinks selection. Room was very small and pokey but otherwise ok and fairly comfortable. We were on the top floor and there is no lift, so would not be suitable for those with restricted mobility.
