We had a great holiday.

We had a great holiday. St Andrew's is lovely: warm, cosy, comfortable, very well-equipped and clean, and its location across the road from the harbour is ideal for watching the sunrise, the weather, and boats coming in and out. It was surprisingly quiet and we hardly heard cars, boats or people. There is no designated parking but it was easy to park on the street immediately outside the cottage.We found more than enough places to visit each day, including a fabulous day at the V&A (Dundee) and enjoyed local coastal strolls.Our only suggestion for improvement would be to relocate the TV, which is on a wall behind the seating area; you can only watch in comfort from the dining table. Apart from this, everything was great and we'd highly recommend.

Lovely place to stay!

Pittenweem is lovely fishing village that is handy for the Fife Coastal path as well as getting to St Andrews, Dundee, Perth and Edinburgh, even the Kelpies are only an hour away. The house itself was very clean and the beds are comfortable, something you need when you get to a certain age. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a couple of the Scottish chocolate cakes. Dishwasher tablets, pods for the washing machine and even pods for the Nespresso coffee machine were provided. There are plenty of crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils, should you want to do your own cooking. If you want to eat out, we can highly recommend The Bank Hotel in Anstruther, the next town along, takes about 20 mins to walk or you can get the bus, or for that special meal, The Dory Bistro, next door has oysters to die for. We would certainly come here again. Only two slight negatives, the tumble dryer did not work and there were no instructions left for dealing with the rubbish or the bedding at the end of the stay.

Fantastic short break

We thoroughly enjoyed our short break at this great house in Pittenweem. The house is warm, comfortable and very well equipped. The first floor lounge gives great views over the harbour where there’s always some activity. Well placed for the Fife coastal path as well as visiting other places in this lovely corner of Fife.
