The staff was friendly and went above and beyond so I could have a coffee in the morning. I enjoyed their company at the bar after the kitchen closed. Food was good. It appears to be a popular local hangout. Easy walk to the bus in a quaint village.

The rooms were great and the food was great. Outside was not well maintained (needs paint) and we were worried when we first pulled up. The inside was wonderful and I would definitely stay again!! Breakfast was great (we got both continental and hot made to order as part of our stay). Staff members were friendly and helpful.

Very warm welcome at the hotel. Check in was very easy, and quickly in our nicely cleaned and appointed room. Stayed in hotel for dinner which was excellent. Breakfast had excellent choice and quality too.

Hotel was nice, bar staff polite and always ready when you needed a drink. Really disappointed breakfast didnt start serving until 8:00am. Wasnt made clear so lost out and had to buy breakfast at the golf course

Lovely sea view. The bed could be larger. The hotel could do with maintenance externally. Staff were friendly. Breakfast - cold options disappointing. Only yoghurt/cereal/pieces of fruit. No pastries. You have to pay for a coffee made in the machine or drink instant coffee.

Room was rather warm with no air conditioning. There was no where to hang towels in the bathroom or place to lay out a suitcase in the room. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and the staff were very polite and attentive. Pastries, for breakfast, would have benefitted from a cover as there were flies around the room. The loose stones covering the car park made it impossible to drag suitcases across.

Please do not read the reviews onHotels.com, read Trip Advisor, one mattress on floor and one camp bed, place smelt damp the smell was horrendous, we walked out and did not stay, £173 a total rip off, dangerous stairs, this hotel should not be on hotels.com, Manager could care less, he had our money and was not professional, I have booked loads of hotels with hotels. com and they have all been great, no complaints only great reviews worst hotel I have ever stayed, don’t go.

The hotel is a bit far out from the shops so unless you’re reasonably fit , you might need a car. Our room was large an good sized en suite. The other problem I would point out is that, iagain if you’re struggling with walking ,or require the aid of a stick or other walking aid there’s a lot of stairs to reach some of the rooms. My husband did struggle with them. Ideal for a one night stop over.

We were happy to see that there was a restaurant and bar on the premises when we arrived as we were tired and it was raining. The food was good and fresh. The rooms are spacious but plain. The shower worked fine. The bathroom could use a shelf or cabinet to put your stuff on. There was a coffee and teas station. We were on the second floor with no lift since it’s an older building if that is a concern for you. The neighborhood was quiet and you could see the ocean from our window although it was a distance away. Breakfast was included and it was plentiful with choices.

Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel and helpful friendly staff. Stayed one night as attending a wedding nearby. Our room was comfy and clean, good shower though nowhere to put stuff in the bathroom. Crail is a lovely wee town.
