Wonderful, cozy get away! Close to local attractions, grocery, & airport without losing a "hidden retreat" feel. Host receptive and respectful of our private time. Friendly chickens greeting you on arrival and natural areas a plus.Look forward to staying again!
Very cozy cabin, clean, and great location. Close to the highway for easy access, but feels like you are in the wilderness. Host was very responsive, and we loved the chance to eat fresh eggs...both chicken and duck! Kids loved seeing the chickens and ducks around the property. We were just there for a short stay, but really enjoyed our time.
We loved the cabin, its location, and access to wildlife and the adorable chickens and ducks! It was clean and very comfortable as well as providing delicious eggs. We would love to come back!
The chickens were a great and surprising welcoming committee! The kids loved meeting them and giving them treats. Overall nice accommodations and the farm fresh eggs were a plus! Our hosts were great communicators and quick to respond before and during our stay. For things to do nearby- Hiking trails were 10-20 minutes, lots of overlook opportunities too. If you have a chance also checkout the Appalachian Mountain Brewery down the road, even if you don’t like beer it’s a nice location with inside and outside seating, family friendly, and high quality food.
Perfect place to stay for a long weekend getaway. Excellent location for seeing all of the sights. The cabin was immaculately clean and pleasant. Would highly recommend and would absolutely come back.
This is a great place for small groups. It is in a good location, close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville and Hendersonville. It is fun to have the ducks and chickens around the cabin.
My husband and I came early for my sons wedding! This was a perfect location for mountain feeling and still be close to shopping. Everything was clean and perfect for our arrival. We would stay again !
The cabin was very peaceful and perfect for our stay. It was located within 20 minutes of almost any type of restaurant you could want, but the kitchen allows you to choose to stay in and cook, as well. It had all the things we needed and met our expectations.
The cabin was excellent, the property still had storm damage which is understandable and expected. My grandson and I enjoyed a wonderful day of fishing with the nearby DB Bar D Outfitters just 5 minutes from cabin. The weather was excellent, the inside of the cabin is beautifully finished and our guide Mike all helped make a trip a memorable one. Our hearts go out to the people in this area of NC that have been through so much since Hurricane Helene.
We had a nice time staying here while we were in town for a wedding. It was close to everything we needed. Grocery store is right down the street. Some good hiking trails not too far away. We had a few minor issues at the house (water pressure, drainage); contacted the host and they fixed it right away! The host was very responsive!
Had an amazing stay here, inside is beautiful, all new with great woodwork, clean and well taken care of. Although there was nothing negative, I would recommend raising the upper bunk bed in the second room, there is very little space between those beds, very claustrophobic for anyone over 10 years old. Otherwise this is a great gem, and we look forward to visiting again!!!
Took my daughter for a Daddy daughter weekend and we had a blast. We went horseback riding in Pisgah and checked out Looking Glass Falls and Sliding rock. Sierra Nevada is only 10 minutes down the road and is an amazing place.
Overall the unit is clean and well kept and served us well for our stay. Some improvements could be the mattresses/bedding and the AC unit.
I wanted a true cabin in a woodsy setting for a reunion of three long-time friends. The wood paneling and rocking chairs on the porch facing west suited us well. The chickens and ducks wandering through were a bonus, as were their fresh eggs in the fridge! We looked for hiking trails which had been mentioned but didn't find much and Mary confirmed that they are yet to be developed. The kitchen was adequate for our simple meals and the beds were comfortable. We were glad we had good weather and could go on outings as the place was too cozy for three to spend full days on the property.
