"元祖「オーベルジュ」の名の通り、とにかくお食事が美味しかったです。美味しいばかりではなくお料理の見た目も美しかったです。夕食は２０：１５から23時くらいまでゆっくり堪能しました。ささっと食事というより、ゆっくり楽しみたいと思っていたのでとても良かったです。お部屋にはTVはないですが、芦ノ湖が窓から見えて鳥の声が聞こえて豊かな自然を満喫できました。温泉施設が宿泊棟と別なので、外を歩いていくのが少々不便とおもいました。夜、暗めの段差があるところを歩くのは危ないし雨天時は億劫になると思いました。それからトイレにウオッシュレットがあれば、もっとよいと思ます。スタッフの皆さんは、みなお若いのに礼儀正しく素敵な笑顔で接して頂けたので、気持ちよく滞在させていただきました。お食事のサーブの時の説明にスタッフ差があり、とてもわかりやすく説明してくださる方と小さな声の早口で専門用語で説明する方もいらっしゃったのがちょっと残念でした。また利用させていただきたいと思います。"

"This is a beautiful luxury hotel with very attention staff. The food is amazing. We had the teppanyaki dinner and the kaiseki Japanese breakfast which was the perfect combination. The teppanyaki dinner is considered "western," while the other choice is the Japanese kaiseki style which one should try at least once while in Japan. The food is art and is breathtaking in beauty. The onsens were beautiful. We tried the public one and both private ones (the rock and the cypress). The cypress one is particularly lovely. The guest lounge that serves drinks and hors d'oeuvres, including very high end Japanese whiskey, is the best that I've seen at any hotel. It doesn't replace a meal but are very good refreshments that rival anything at a 4-5 star hotel. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the Gora train station. It provides a shuttle to the Odawara train station where you can catch the shinkansen. Note that the price of the room will depend on the number of guests in the room because the main charge is for the very upscale meals that come with the rooms. The price can vary substantially depending on the day of the week and season as well. Note that Asian hotels are not like American hotels in which the number of guests is allowed to be flexible. It's very important that the number of guests is reported accurately for Asian hotels. This is a perfect place to feel nourished and refreshed."

"Beautiful hotel and location! The in room onsen and foot bath with amazing views of the Hakone shrine were so worth it. They also provided snacks and drinks in the fridge. The 7-11 and bus stop within short walking distance were also convenient. The one wish I had for this hotel was a way to store your luggage or lockers on location, so that you could explore Hakone luggage-free earlier since check in is not until 3pm."

YuYu Hakone - Private Open Air Onsen Usage Guaranteed

"We loved our stay at YuYu Onsen hotel. The staff were extremely polite and hospitable. Thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese breakfast experience and recommend you try it. The booking comes with a 50 min private onsen experience which was thoroughly enjoyable in the evening after a busy day of site seeing. The location even though feels remote and away from shops and amenities (we had no car) is served by bus service ( look up the J number buses). They will drop you right in front of YuYu onsen. I booked based on price and had reservations about how isolated this location was but I need not have worried. The remote location and the surrounding woods only enhanced our experience. Highly recommend this place to anyone planning on visiting Hakone and once again I’m thankful to all the staff that made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. ❤️"
