Cozy Honeymoon Stay!
My husband and I had a wonderful stay!! The home was very clean and the owners are very responsive! They gave helpful information about the area and the home is in a very nice, quiet area! Perfect for a get away to see amazing Auckland and surrounding areas! We would definitely stay here again!!

Something fishy
This is the third time we have stayed at this property and it never disappoints. The one small(ish) complaint I have this time is that the fridge and freezer both smelled strongly of fish. I would assume this was caused by a guest rather than the owner as the place was otherwise and always is beautifully clean.

Yes the fishy smell was left by previous guests and I've been trying everything to get rid of it - including baking soda in both the fridge and freezer. I apologise that it spoiled your stay :(

Perfect for our needs - again!
Two of us retreating away business planning, with golf just round the corner to mix things up. Watching the tides in/out is quite fascinating.

We had 8 days and really enjoyed the peace and quiet and loved watching the sea. The property had everything we needed and it is maintained in a very clean tidy state. Although mid winter with the double glazing and heat pump it was lovely and warm and catches all the sun when there was sun.

Another lovely stay here

Absolutely beautiful location for completely switching off with everything you need and nothing you dont! My girlfriends and I had an incredible time relaxing, eating and laughing in the ideal location to be away from it all. A beautifully well-maintained home and excellent communication from the property owners. Already planning on coming back!

Lovely house and views
Every year I look for a house with a view, but no stairs, so that my elderly mother can join us. This house fitted the bill perfectly. The view is spectacular and we enjoyed watching the tide and weather coming and going. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Loved our stay. The house is nice and clean and we loved our view out to the ocean. The house was nice and sunny and open but was great to have aircon while it was so hot over summer. Great communication with Lisa who was very accomodating when I stuffed up our dates. Definitely recommend

Lovely light and bright property with everything you need. Amazing views, peaceful and feels a million miles from hustle and bustle. We loved it so much we stayed another night. Loved no TV, kids explored the beach and played board games. Lisa was great to communicate with. We'll be back.

Family weekend
Thanks Lisa, we had a great weekend at Clarke's Beach. There was plenty of space and we managed to get time on the deck for drinks and to watch the planes fly over. My son and I had a great time cooking in the kitchen. We loved the large oven and bench space looking out to the sea. The hardest part was fighting the Auckland Friday afternoon traffic. We definitely want to come back and stay.

Breathtaking
Wow. Just wow. What a place! From the views to the solitude, Lisa's bach was perfect for our little getaway. Had everything we needed, including the lack of wifi and TV, which was great because we spent all our time with each other - walks on the beach, cooking together, games etc. Amazing place with unforgettable memories!

Nice house with a stunning view
We loved our stay at this property. No Wifi or TV was a blessing, we got to spend time playing board games and a lot of time at the beach. Will surely be back again. Thanks for hosting us.

Great relaxation spot
Arrived late in the evening, greeted in the morning by some wonderful views. Great start to an enjoable 3 days. All amenities with a nice nautical theme, though no TV or wifi. By the end of the three days, we all felt it was a plus!

Family Getaway
Our children really enjoyed the batch, the natural environment. The scenery was so soothing especially for us working parents. A time away from home with our children was what we needed. A time of bonding with children. Children loved a totally new environment, next to the beach. I loved the batch, very organized and clean. I suggest if a TV and a BBQ stand will be good. Otherwise superb family getaway! Looking for another session ....

Amazing escape
Second visit to this Bach. Both the site & host have been amazing! Highly recommend if you want a quick escape from Auckland. Just check the tides before leaving as when timed right the sunset views are stunning.

Classic NZ Beach house with beautiful modern twists
We stayed for our wedding night and the place could not have been more perfect. Wonderful views from the living/kitchen/deck, beautifully appointed modern interior, comfortable beds, extremely clean. Can’t recommend this holiday home enough. Thanks Lisa!

Fantastic holiday home
My daughters (5 & 7) had a great time at the house for a wild winter weekend. Its a very warm, clean house and having its own access to the beach was really great. We just loved sitting on the couch looking out to the stunning view. Definitely recommend!

Manukau Harbour stay
Pristine property on water's edge at Clarks Beach. Spotlessly clean, very comfy beds. A good base to explore Awhitu Peninsula and some spectacular beaches. We did not miss tv at all. Only adverse comments: did not realise quite how tidal Clarks Beach is, and lots of rocks made swimming there not ideal. Also, suggest owners put a strip on edge of steps to the deck, as hard to judge, and my friend stumbled and bruised her arm badly.
