Casita Querida Grande is a super comfortable 3/2 featuring a deck overlooking Shoal creek and a backyard, screened-in porch with hammock chairs. With a fully equipped kitchen, W/D, and a baby grand piano, it's close to restaurants, Seton, shops, & UT. One desk in the living room and one desk in the smaller bedroom provide ample space for computer set up, supported by fast Wifi. The peaceful 'hood, frequented by bicyclists, dog walkers, and youngsters, is adjacent to the lovely Grove Park via the Shoal Creek extension trail & pedestrian bridge into the Rosedale neighborhood.

Clean and Comfortable

Quiet location with great view from master bedroom. Beds were comfortable. This is the second time we've used this location and family like it. Not nearly central but several nice restaurants in walking distance. A large upscale grocery is a short drive or longer walk away.

Great location just outside of downtown

We felt well rested after staying in such a comfy house. Perfect distance from many delicious restaurants and scooters. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

We enjoyed our time there. It was neat and cozy. It was a little strange not having a kitchen, but we made do with the plates and cups provided. We would stay there again. The host is very helpful and friendly.

Perfect for girls’ weekend!

My aunt, sister and I absolutely loved our stay at Janie’s place. It was perfectly located for us while we were planning my wedding at Laguna Gloria and Janie’s thoughtful touches (e.g., Keurig, Brita jug, extra towels, organic half and half, Dr. Bronner’s in the shower, etc.) made everything go so smoothly! We especially loved waking up to the gentle chirping of birds and our visits with Linus the adorably sweet neighbor kitty, wonderful respites from the stress of planning the big day! The separate entrance offered lots of privacy so we didn’t feel as though we were “intruding”, as some places can make one feel. Instructions and restaurant suggestions were aptly placed on the mini fridge, everything was very clean, and the beds/sheets were soft and comfy. We all felt wonderfully at home and Janie was so lovely to chat with when we bumped into each other the very few times that we did. Can’t wait for another visit at her lovely casita...see you next time, Mr. Linus!

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay! Very comfortable and Janie is a wonderful host. She met us as we were unloading to assure everything was okay...and by chance we bumped into her again as we were heading to the State Capitol. She is gracious and lovely. The space was extremely clean and well appointed. The location is perfect - very quiet yet within 10-15 minutes of the University and downtown Austin. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here if you need accommodations in Austin.
