"We had a great vacation at the Hyatt Baha Mar. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. Room was very nice and kept clean. Hotel staff were mostly very helpful and friendly. There is a lot to do on the property, so every day we did something different. I did lots of research prior to the trip, but here are a couple of things that I did not see mentioned:
Although the property has many pools, they have MANY "reserved" chairs/loungers that must be rented for use. They take up the best spaces at each pool for these reserved seats, and I barely saw any of them used. They go for about $75-$100 per chair rental, so I'm not surprised. It seems so wasteful to take up all of the best lounging spaces in the hopes of people paying extra for the chair.
I also was under the assumption that each of the 3 properties could use each other's pools. However, one day we went to sit at one pool and were shoo-ed away by a hotel worker stating that since we weren't guests at the Rosewood, we could not sit at that pool. With the setup of the properties, it can be a little confusing to know which building owns which pool, and so I asked but was not given an answer on how to tell where we were allowed to sit.
As others stated, the property is very expensive, but we knew that going in and still had a great vacation."
