North African, South Asian, and Latin American influences create a rich tapestry of ethnic restaurants and colourful street life. Medieval lanes lead to surprising discoveries like the gleaming white MACBA contemporary art museum and historic Palau Güell. The neighborhood's transformation from gritty past to creative present makes it perfect for travellers seeking authentic Barcelona. You can browse Boqueria Market for local treats or catch performances at Gran Teatre del Liceu. Three metro stations make exploring the wider city easy after wandering El Raval's character-filled streets.

"The staff at the front desk were amazing! We had booked two rooms and even though it wasn't check in time the first room was ready so they allowed us to check in early with that room and that way we could get changed and place our luggage there. Our other room was directly across the hall which made it extremely convenient. Two out of three of our beds were very comfortable. I happened to get the one that was lopsided. They just need to flip it to get it more evenly worn. That was room 324 by the way and it's the first bed when you walk in. It's early enjoyed the mini bar which had two waters and two juices that we thoroughly enjoyed and then utilized it to store our water bottles or leftovers in. Clothes storage was sufficient and we could store our luggage on the very top which was perfect. There were so many walkable options for breakfast and even amazing dinner options! Public transportation was definitely easy to find nearby but we tended to use taxis because we were short on time and it was extremely convenient! Even though there was construction next door they stopped at a reasonable time. Relaxing waiting area on the first floor. Great price overall and we will definitely plan a return visit!"

"Lovely hotel in Barcelona and a great location distance-wise to all the attractions and beach. Great amenities in the hotel. Gym was fab. Rooftop pool and bar were a brilliant place to chill out after exploring all day. Great 360 view. Rooms bright, clean and modern although the cleaning could be haphazard. We had to ask for towels a couple of days as they had been taken and not replaced and not everything in the room got refilled every time but the cleaning was great every day. Reception staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and were helpful to speak to at any time of day or night which was lovely. However be aware that it’s not the nicest part of the city. There were a lot of homeless, drunks and others in the immediate vicinity and it didn’t feel comfortable to me or my teenagers being outside, this is compared with other neighbouring areas. A couple of guests reported jewellery being stolen from them in the street outside which is a shame for such a nice modern hotel."
