Had to borrow the bike rental neighboring business’ phone to call him. He doesn’t receive payment from Orbitz either and we had to go back and forth to dispute. Cheap place to stay if you just want to quick overnighter with no frills.」

「Clean rooms and friendly staff. La Fortuna is about a 30 min drive. The friendly (Giovanni and Louis) make the drive worth it. We were able to spot sloth from the facility (guess we were lucky). I would definitely recommend it if you are on a budget. 」

「We loved staying at Chachagua and would highly recommend it to anyone considering. The property is sprawling, with so much available onsite to enjoy. We took advantage of the coffee and chocolate tour, the cooking class, and the night tour on property. All were excellent. Additionally, Chachagua’s location is perfect for seeing Costa Rican wildlife. In less than 48 hours, we saw nearly everything we had only hoped we would see. 「The first thing to note is the drive up to the hotel—it’s very bumpy and uneven. If you’re driving, it’s best to take it slow, and ideally use a rental car you don’t mind putting through rough terrain. During our stay, we ran into a few issues with the staff, mainly around excursions being booked incorrectly and some basic questions not being answered clearly.
