Hidden Gem

House was easy to find, level spacious parking and had enough room for good adult /kid separation. From my kids “Amazing hot tub & game room”, “really fun pool table & darts”. I was skeptical at first with the extent of decor but the house surpassed expectations. It was clean, comfortable bedding, well stocked kitchen and toiletries. Super convenient to Bryce Resort. Looking forward to rebooking next year.

Clean, Convenient and Ample Room

Cool house in a cool location. Walkable to the resort and activity passes were a definite plus. House was clean and stocked with the basics, communication was clear. Hot tub, arcade game and pool table kept the (3) teens occupied at night.

What a wonderful house for a family!

Our family of 5 had a great time staying at this house. Very convenient access to Bryce Resort. And we appreciated how well organized the home rental was.

What a beautiful place!

We like to vacation during the fall to experience the color changing leaves and we were NOT disappointed, here in Basye, VA. It is so beautiful here! The cabin is wonderful and so homey! Our 3 adult sons like to stay in for the majority of our vacation so, the basement game room and hot tub are an answer to prayer for them. We will be adding this place to our "must visit again" list. We even used the resort passes and went golfing for the first time as a family, very first time ever for our sons...it was a very long 9 holes, but it was so much fun!

Perfect family vacation

This wonderful lodge has now become our family tradition! Comfortable, clean, close to the resort! Close to grocery store and Walmart! We relax, play games, work on our Lego kits and puzzles and find time to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day! Lou, the property manager picks up the phone immediately if we need advice or just about anything! We arrive with a gift basket full of welcoming treats! Perfect place to go for a fabulous getaway! I’ll never stay anywhere else at Bryce Mountain! As I said- it has now become our family tradition! Five stars!

Beautiful house in a great location

We stayed at this property for a Thanksgiving long weekend get-away and it was about perfect. The house is situated in a woodsy, remote-feeling location but has all the amenities you could want. The hot tub was especially appreciated.

Family friendly and Two Minutes From Bryce

Kids loved the pool table, darts and hot tub. Five bedrooms gave us plenty of room.

Well managed, great property!

This is a really well-run property - we needed absolutely nothing and there were plenty of instructions on every possible thing, as well as a very well described checkin/checkout experience. Very comfortable for both a lazy day and a place to return to after hiking. I wish all vrbo properties were managed like this!

Ski vacation

We stayed at the Lodge during Christmas break, and everything was perfect! The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfy, plenty of activities around. The kids loved the arcade and dart board. And we were only 2 min away from the ski area. Made it easy to come home for lunch and dinner in between the ski sessions. Would highly recommend this place for families.

We were there with another family to enjoy Bryce Resort and a winter weekend getaway. The house was full of amenities and spacious enough to accommodate all. We were greeted with a welcome basket that included sweet and savory snacks, which was a nice surprise. We would stay here again!

Wonderful

Our family and friends had a wonderful stay at the Cedar Ridge Lodge. The property is beautifully maintained and it is close proximity to Bryce Resort and the Community Store. We were welcomed with a sign when we arrived, chocolates on all of the beds and a big welcome basket full of lots of delicious goodies. We were sad to leave, but we will DEFINITELY stay there again. Thank you!

Relaxing among the tree tops

Cedar Ridge provided a wonderful view of the forest. The lodge was so clean and welcoming. The youngins loved their room, Lake Laura and the hot tub. That was true for the adults as well. Morning coffee on the balcony in the rocking chair ,was marvelous for reflection and planning the day. Thank you all so much.

Wonderfully beautiful place

This is a very nice place, everything was provided for and explained well with in reason. Very easy to maintain and the kids and grandma loved it too. Recommend getting all your groceries prior to arriving because nearest Walmarts and Food Lion is 35 min away. If you're coming to visit the Bayse resort, it is literally 2 min away. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a few days at the resort and a few days lounging around at the house spending, much needed time with family. Definitely recommend.

excellent large home

This property is in the best condition of any VRBO I have rented. Spotless and well-maintained. The kitchen is fully stalked. It isn't a huge house but it is really well designed to work with a large group. Everything is labeled and instructions are provided for everything. Cleaning up for check out took us about an hour and I noticed some people complained of that. I didn't think it was a big deal and built it into our time line. The location was ideal. Street is quiet. Kitchen fully stocked. Would rent here again.

Felt so welcomed in this beautiful place

We were there over the New Year weekend, and we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived! From the chalkboard welcoming us with all the names of those in our family, to the beautiful Christmas tree set up in the living room, to the amazing gift basket with yummy goodies waiting on the counter, we felt instantly warm and cozy. There were 14 people in our group (our 4 children, their spouses, and 4 grandchildren, 3 of which were under 2 years old.) The property was a perfect size for us all, and the rooms/beds were very comfortable. The master suite is HUGE, and became a third hang-out at times! The game room downstairs was so well-equipped with many fun things to do (pool table, arcade game, foosball, and darts). We also took full advantage of the hot tub in the evenings. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. There were even extras that we didn't expect, like some spices, etc. The proximity to the resort was also a plus. It was only a couple blocks from the skiing, snowtubing, and ice skating offered at Bryce. We appreciated the detailed descriptions that were posted at the house so that we knew exactly how to operate anything we needed. We also really loved the fun western decor. One thing that we brought with us because of the young children, was a gate that we attached at the top of the stairs. With young ones, that is a necessity! We had a really wonderful time in this beautiful place, and we would certainly love to return at some point!

Covid New Year's

We had such an amazing time at Cedar Ridge Lodge! Originally, we were 3 families traveling together (6 adults, 6 kids), and after the Governor imposed new restrictions we had to make tough decisions to downsize our group. We went back and forth with the owner regarding different scenarios, and they were nothing but accommodating and understanding. In the end, we were 2 families (4 adults, 5 kids) staying in Cedar Ridge Lodge. Communication was outstanding! Check-in was a breeze (they have a chalkboard bear at the entrance that was personalized for us!). The house was spotless, and we arrived to a huge goody basket of snacks and treats (plus we celebrated a birthday while there and there was a card and balloon!). We could never get the gas fireplace to turn on, and after communicating to the property manager we decided we didn't need it during our stay. The TV situation was a little difficult- the basement TV is old and wasn't reliably functioning, and the upstairs TV doesn't have cable or any streaming services (we recognized this possibility prior to arrival and brought a Roku to hook up). CRL has the best stocked kitchen we have ever encountered (every kind of pot and pan including a huge stock pot, plus plenty of baking needs, and a lot of pantry items). With a lot of kids, we did a lot of laundry, and all want to buy the same washer and dryer for our own homes (the washer is giant!). The kids loved the hot tub! There were lots of puzzles and games for every age, and a competitive pool game was always happening. Proximity to Bryce is amazing, a 5 minute walk down the hill. We didn't have the best of winter weather while visiting, but we made do with ice skating and a little resort-made snow playing. Cedar Ridge Lodge was perfect for a change of scenery during Covid winter break. We will absolutely keep it in mind for another escape.

Family Trip to Bryce

As soon as we walked in, we knew we would love this property. The house was so comfy and cozy. Really cute aesthetic and decor - you knew you were on the mountains. Also very clean and organized with new dishes and well kept appliances.
