Clematis Cottage - Idyllic Village close to Bath

Summary:

This cottage is nestled in the historic village of Freshford, only a stone's throw from the UNESCO city of Bath. The village location offers wonderful woodland and canal walks, nearby cycling along the river Avon and a great cafe and village shop only a minute from this cottage. Freshford is very well connected with a regular bus and train service into Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and London.



The Space:

This charming cottage is on 3 floors, there are three bedrooms (1 king, 1 single room and 1 twin room- one of these beds is a small fitted double so the house could sleep 6). There is a spacious kitchen with breakfast bar, a dining room with also a sofa, small living room and a wonderful sunny conservatory.

Lovely patio and garden with beautiful views.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the whole cottage. There is private parking for one car. Please park in the allocated space beside the garage on the left of the cottage. Please only one car in the drive way.



The Neighborhood:

Freshford is a quiet village situated in the Limpley Stoke valley. It is surrounded by fields and woodland yet is only 10 minutes on the train to the bustling Roman city of Bath. Alternatively the bus stops just outside the house and takes 20 minutes to reach Bath. Freshford is an ideal countryside retreat with a super community cafe and shop. The cafe serves delicious breakfasts and freshly prepared lunches. The Freshford Inn on the banks of the river Frome, offers a wonderful array of micro brewed ales and beers and fantastic gastro style food.



Getting Around:

The cottage has parking in the garage or next to the garage. Plenty of space also if you come by bike or brining your bikes.

This cottage is walking distance to our award winning village shop. The train station and village pub is a 10min walk, making it ideal to leave the car behind and let the train take the strain!

Trains to and from London connect in Bath and Bath is only 7mins by train to the village

A leisurely 30 mins walk from Freshford to Bradford on Avon along the Canal, a great way to spend a day.



Other Things to Note:

We are happy for one small dog to stay in this property. There is an additional cleaning fee of £35 for the duration of the stay. The dog must stay downstairs and not be allowed on furniture. We kindly ask that you clear up any dog mess from the garden before you leave. Thank you.

The master bedroom has a memory foam mattress with latex.

We would recommend that you make a note of the access information ahead of your stay, incase your network coverage is poor in the area.
