“Staff was rude and did not feel like a welcoming environment”

“The Grand Roatan defintely had the feel of a 5-star resort, but what impressed me the most was the staff. The front desk reached out multiple times throughout my stay to see that my needs were met, and everyone I met remembered my name after our first encounter which was impressive. Marine life is abundant as soon as you walk into the ocean. We paid for a night snorkel on the other side of the island, but honestly, everything you'd want to see is right in front of the property. Very impressive……

“We stayed on a beachfront room, but unfortunately, it was situated right in front of the bar. So early in the morning, you could hear the staff talking loudly and laughing. I think that in this type of properties, the staff should more quiet, and let the guests have a more quiet vacation. The same happened while having breakfast, the staff communicates with each other by talking loud at a distance, which should not be the case. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice, very clean, very well……

“Great place to stay. Would definitely go again. What lacked for amenities, the wonderful staff made up for. Except the waitstaff and bartenders…they were definitely on island time.”

“If you’re looking for a tranquil and relaxing experience, away from tourists attractions, Las Verandas is the place. The grounds are well kept and the ocean views are spectacular. The restaurant on site and the poolside bar were amazing. Waitstaff very pleasant and attentive. The beach was very rocky therefore not conducive to swimming but the 2 infinity pools made up for that. We will definitely be returning for another week’s stay.”

“This place is a gem. Booked for a layover day and would definitely consider going back. Convenient location great services. Amazing access to good wading on a good sized flat with bonefish. Looked like great dive shop.”

“No me gusto la alberca porque es muy fea la textura. raspa e irrita la piel. En nuestra estadía se fue la corriente eléctrica varias veces, en la madrugada de las 2am-5am, mucho calor y muy desagradable. El restaurante puede mejorar mucho. El personal, muy amable. ”
