“This was such a disappointment! My wife and I went for our 30th Anniversary as we stayed there about 30 years ago and loved it!! My wife wanted to go again. I was skeptical as I saw the reviews were not the greatest and the price was a lot cheaper than it once was. I told my wife that we may not want to go but she insisted. The reviews were being nice! The place is in such bad shape and nothing like it once was! The staff at the front desk were very rude and not helpful at all! They……

“I did not like the fact to have to drive to the pool because it was raining. The gym very outdated. No water in the outside hot tub. Breakfast did not look good so we skipped it. The pond dock was falling apart, the boat was half sunk with cans littered in it. The pond itself needs upkeep. Ice machine was broke and the bar wasn't open. No microwave in the room. The rooms are nice just to many cons.”

“Property was not equal to the price charged - restaurant was not open, no coffee was available in the room or elsewhere until breakfast. It felt like the property was going out of business or didn't want to be open during the slow period. They should have disclosed how things were. Lots of potential not utilized. It was a beautiful area and the building was great. Staff was great to deal with.”

“We were hoping to use the pool. It was NOT USABLE DUE TO the WATER BEING CLOUDY. The room had a bleach smell. We were promised a “free breakfast”. Instead, we received a granola bar and orange juice with mandarin orange segments at check in.”

“The Reluctant Panther was a cut above the other inns that I have stayed at. On check in, we were walked to our room and shown where everything was. The room was very large and comfortable. There was a nice seating area in front of a fireplace. We chose to eat dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and had a truly excellent meal and excellent service. Breakfast is served in a basket that can be picked up in the dining room or delivered to your room. All in all, our stay was exceptional. ”
