「It's a great place to stay in the charming town of Chipping Campden. Centrally located on the high street; with parking in the back (not accessible from the high street). The staff were great and the breakfast was wonderful. We stayed in Room 5, which is quite spacious (though on the top level; all stairs). They have some newer "cottages" that look to be accessible for folks who don't want stairs. Some minor negatives: 1) the tea room closes at 5:30 cutting off direct access to the high street;...

「The Royal Oak is outstanding in every respect. If you're staying a night, its facilities are unusually generous and extensive; if you're eating, the menu and the food are great; and if you just want a drink, there's a bar area and plenty of seating outside. The staff are lovely. Plus there's plenty of local information, books, games and events, not to mention a farm shop. If you can tear yourself away, visit Wayland's Smithy a couple of miles away along the Ridgeway.」

「Beautiful, quaint property with a great location. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom sink was interesting with separate H & C faucets that didn't mix the water....oh well. Restaurant was very nice, and the food was well prepared. Service was a little slow & inattentive, but overall a positive experience. 」

「Stayed here 1 night for a day 2 wedding function. The room was spotlessly clean with tea and coffee facilities. We used the barn and outside areas for the function, with the kitchen serving pizza which was delicious. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and also for breakfast all of which was good. No issues, all very good.」
