"Just FYI, we didn't go during the ski season or do any skiing. I marked the skiing as 5 stars only because I had to fill it in and didn't want to undermining the overall score. The house is lovely and the kitchen is well stocked. Two nest thermostats make setting the temperature fairly straightforward. The only downside of the property is that there's no bathroom on the first floor, which is where one of our daughters was sleeping. Otherwise, it was a lovely house with great art, comfortable furniture, an unusually well appointed kitchen, and a friendly owner. We'd go back. "

"It’s a beautiful cabin, attentive host, nice hot tub and fireplace, and basement tv room. I would easily give five stars except that there were a lot of dead bugs in the cabin (though it’s in the woods it’s more than I would expect of a place just cleaned), and there are a LOT of personal/family photos all over the house. Not a few - dozens, on pretty much every wall, table, surface. And the master bedroom had all of the owners things and clothes in the dressers, nightstands, closet, even some dirty clothes in the hamper. While none of this ruined our trip (we still had a very nice time and it is a beautiful place), all the photos and personal stuff made it feel a bit awkward at times."

"Beautiful lake front home. Amazing sunsets and kayak rides. Great hiking trips. Cabin was nicely laid out. Had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Would love to come back again. "

"A wonderful home in a great location. Home is clean, well equipped, and roomy enough for nine of us. A kid friendly beach is a short walk away. Everyone in our group fully enjoyed our time in Monterey!"

"Beautiful house, modern and up to date. Rooms are nice, common rooms are nice, bathrooms are nice, A/C works well, easy walk to the local beach on the lake. Kayaks available for use at no charge. The Berkshires are beautiful."
