Great hospitality and breakfast
The receptionist and hospitality and service was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. Great full English breakfast. My only minus was the bed was too soft, so my nights were not comfortable. But overall very good .

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at!!
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Walls are paper thin so could hear everything from the rooms around, even the rooms access the hall. Paint falling off the walls, mattress springs were broken meaning the most uncomfortable bed. Windows didn’t close right as they are so old so I was freezing all night. Tap in the bathroom only had hot water, so brushing teeth with hot water was not pleasant! I thought the breakfast might be able to redeem the awful night stay I had, but unfortunately not. I found a hair in my breakfast and swiftly left right away. I didn’t want to stay any longer than I needed to. Would advise you stay away from this hotel!

Unbelievable anyone would stay in that place and pay their outrageous prices. Lovely receptionist only saving grace, couldn't have been more helpful.

The staff were really friendly and nice! The rooms were a bit run down. They needed a really good deep cleaning. Things like hand soap and shower gel missing. The pillows were so thin.

Highly disappointed 😞 We arrived at the hotel, checking in was fine. However, as we entered own room was not cleaned. It was not cleaned after the previous guests left, there was empty bottles, cups and the bed sheets were not changed. It was unacceptable as they knew we were coming.

The room was just about clean, the table was still 'sticky', the radiator by the bed has no way to regulate the radiator and the other radiator I had to fix to be able to turn it down. The opening window by the bed was broken and you cannot shut it. the securing mechanism on the window in the bathroom was missing so they had screwed it shut.

Hotel is good value for money,a bit dated but that’s not an issue. Very disappointed that there were no toiletries in the room,there was a kettle but no tea or coffee to go with it,I tried calling reception 4/5 times for an answer machine to tell me it doesn’t take messages,🙁

I don’t normally do reviews but the Curtin’s were faded we had a ripped chair and the bedroom was only cleaned on the floor and a light shade was ripped The room was not clean above the Curtin I booked the room based on the photos which were strategically taken so the above was not shown. Very disappointed

The hotel it’s self was very comfortable, rooms and public areas clean but the grounds need tending to, I slipped in built up mud by the steps to the business centre and the flags need a good clean for safety reasons. The lady on the desk was lovely, the breakfast staff were helpful but one of the men kept speaking to a guy called hasan like rubbish it was uncomfortable to hear as no one should be berated let alone in front of a dining hall full of people, he needs to learn to add please and thank you on to his instructions, all staff no matter what their role should be treated with respect

Decent hotel
Staff are helpful & polite. About a fifteen minute walk to town centre. Large free car park. Kettle, tea, coffee & milk provided. Rooms need updating. Creaky & sunken floorboards. Nice restaurant. Good breakfast choice. All in all good value and location.

Not my cup of tea
Only good bits were the amount of parking spaces and the breakfast. The reception area is reasonable but the rest of the hotel is very tatty and tired. Very cramped rooms too.

would recommend
Staff lovely and friendly and very accommodating. The hotel reception, restaurant, foyer and bar area are lovely and modern. I was staying in the business centre part of the hotel, which is like a cute little guesthouse at the bottom of the carpark. Be mindful though as it’s very dark at night to see your footing whilst walking. My room was moderate. Clean but the curtain tops were covered in dust. The radiator dial was also broken so it just turned all the way around. I couldn’t gauge how to turn it up so i spent the night a little cold. Inspite of this i would recommend staying here especially for the price i paid through bookings.com. Breakfast was £10 but included a lovely continental spread and hot food made to order.

An older hotel in a good position for walking to amenities and the football ground. Rooms were clean and the staff were professional and friendly. Had a lovely room in the side annex which had a four poster bed and decorative plasterwork ceiling and coving.

The staff are friendly especially Rachel on reception desk. The breakfast was hot and good choices. How ever we were disappointed that the swimming pool had been closed down. We were looking forward to a leisurely swim on the day of checkout due to being heavily pregnant. It is still being advertised on here and other websites that there is a pool on site. This to me is faulse advertising so it needs to be taken off or state that the pool isn't in use.
