「Wonderful three night stay. Room was great, overlooking the garden. Nice to sit outside in the summer evening. Great location, within walking distance to the Cathedral and city center. Breakfast was great, lots of choices and owners were very accommodating. Very professionally run Bed and Breakfast. Highly recommend!」

There were coffee perculators but no coffee to brew only small instant for cups. Food in restaurant- ceasar salad was a big disappointment, chicken overcooked and salad not right leaves for ceasar salad. However staff...

「The staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful and polite. The position of the hotel was excellent for exploring the area. The room size was fine and the amenities good. What the room needed was air conditioning, I realise it is extreme heat and a fan was provided but I believe it was way too hot and oppressive. The water system was ropey and waiting for the water to arrive and the bathroom in general needed updating. However the room was clean.」

「We stayed a night after spending the day at Oldfield Forge. The property was lovely and well kept with a very big room. The owner was super helpful and the breakfast the next day was great. We really recommend this property for anyone staying in the area.」

Room was near entrance and on ground floor so had to keep curtain shut for privacy. Blind would have been useful. Breakfast was not great but this was an exception as chef was not available.」

I gave it a 4 star overall, would have given 4.5 star if I could, would easily have been 5 star if: 1) Fix the potholes on the small road from Madley Plants (understand this is probably someone elses responsibility). 2) Shower doesn't stay in its elevated holder...

「Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time.」
