We arrived an hour after check-in, we were told that the room was not ready. We took a seat and waited 10 minutes to be called. The initial allocated room had an ant infestation, we made reception aware & they changed our room. The re-allocated room was fine - air conditioning did not work & the drain from the shower seemed insufficient to cope with the flow of water - room flooded after a few minutes of shower running. The staff were very friendly & helped as best they could, we didn’t complaint about the AC & shower. Amenities were good, hotel in general (baring ants in the room), was clean. Plenty of parking available, although the booking system seemed to be confusing (regular iPad book-in, but code required from reception to access it). EV charging points bi-lingual (English & Welsh), easy to use & plenty of them.

Was planning on going out for a meal but decided to have dinner at the hotels restaurant. Was a bad choice as the pork ribs were not okay and smelt off and when the next order of chicken came it was definitely not fresh and me and my wife felt ill in the morning. This was related to hotel staff

Stayed for 2 nights with partner and older son. The room was more than accommodating for the 3 of us and very clean. Breakfast was hot and varied, full English, continental and a good range of teas, coffees and juices. There were only 2 small negatives which were paying £5 per night for parking which would put me off a long stay here and the evening staff in the restaurant. Whilst not rude they were not helpful and we had to ask for everything when it come to service, unlike the rest of the staff at breakfast and check in who couldnt be faulted. I would definitely pick here again when visiting London again.

Check in was nice and quick but unfortunately for us that is where it all went wrong. Firstly we were given the wrong room type and ok we could have looked past this but the heat within the room was unbearable. There was one fan left for us that hardly gave any relief of the heat and was positioned in a place no where near the sleeping area. There was the loud noise from an air con unit that again unfortunately was plugged in the opposite side of the suite. When I went to reception to complain I was told that they are overbooked for my room type and the air con is only working in some rooms - it was basically a first come first serve!! I then asked for additional fans to assist us with the temperature within the room. These were provided but due to the excessive noise my young daughter was required to sleep with her mouse cancelling headphones on as she is noise sensitive. Not the best night unfortunately for us and not what we expected from a Hilton
