We were warned not to turn the AC down more than 2 degrees at a time, which we followed. It still stopped working and we had to shut it off for a few hours to reset or something. I have never had that problem happen anywhere else before. One pool shut down. Whatever was supposed to be available in the main building was closed.

I have been coming here since the 1990's for an astronomy weekend each fall. This was the second time we were able to stay in the spring to do some Milky Way photography. The staff is always wonderful and welcoming. Beds are pretty comfortable and the rooms are always clean.

It was a nice hotel, I loved the theme and decor, larger rooms, clean. It had a pool being refinished and one of the restaurants was closed for remodeling as well. I wish they had stated the price for the dog. I think it is pricey though for what it is. It is located in Borrego Springs and because there are not many hotels, people seek that one most. It could also be that we caught it in a transition phase and they are upgrading a lot of things. As for what it is, at the moment I was there, $160-$180 would have been ideal.

Beautiful and clean. The only thing was that our coffee machine in our room didn’t work but we found an amazing coffee place nearby. Make sure to go to Fudge factory only a few minutes away..

The AC was extremely effective and our room was huge. We really enjoyed the large tub in the room, and although the restaurant was closed, the taco truck for dinner was superb!

Palm Canyon Resort is hands down our favorite place to stay…1/4 mile away from Anza Borrego Desert State Park and the town of Borrego Springs. Air conditioner needed attention but staff immediate response revealed user error on our part, further assistance not needed. The restaurant was closed for remodeling but that got us into town to discover flavorful local eateries.

Western Themed very cute and well kept. Pool was perfect nightly retreat. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Facility had some negatives that would have been good to know before booking. Main pool was not available awaiting permit. Restaurant was “under construction” no indication of this just closed. AC in the older rooms froze over in 95 degree weather I do not recommend those rooms. Moved to a slightly more modern room AC was great. Staff was accommodating and friendly.

Disappointed that the on site restaurant was not open. The pool and spa for hotel use was closed, pool for RV area was open, but was too far to use. Bar was closed on Sunday of our stay. To compensate they had a taco truck. Air conditioning was to be set no lower than 75 degrees. Not our best stay here.

The room was not ready at check in time. Initial contact at the desk was not special. Woman was matter of fact and monotone. I was told the room would be ready in 20 minutes. Not a problem. So why the good review? I returned and 2 young professionals were at the desk. They welcomed me with smiles and enthusiasm. They informed me about everything going on at the resort and wanted me to join them that night for a “Stargazing” presentation at the resort’s amphitheater. This presentation was AMAZING by the way. They offered dinner recommendations as well. These employees saved the review. This is my place of choice when I visit the Anza Borrego desert. Never disappointed.
