「Stayed for four nights at the Empress, overall a nice hotel. We had a sea view room which was clean and serviced everyday with clean towels. Breakfast was included in room price and we were able get as much as we wanted. Ate in the Piano bar every night decent menu at reasonable prices, able to look out at the sea while eating. Only issue would be the parking, I was able to park on the promenade close by, but it would be an issue in the high season I think.」

「Warm welcome, enjoyed delicious breakfast and nice chat with owners each morning. Facilities in good condition and well maintained. Decorated intentionally making guests a home stay feel. Near bus stop and promenade, also walkable distance to main streets and dock. To nitpick, there’s creaky sound walking on the wooden floor.」

「Whether for a staycation (as we used it), or for a base to retreat to when visiting the island, this was a great experience. Breakfast was good, especially the pancake making machine, and a nice spot to sit in even on a rainy day. The rooms are quite big and the place is easy to navigate. We used the SPA and after figuring out how to turn the jacuzzi on, was a good addition to the day. Staff on reception very helpful and seem very willing to aid in questions about other areas of the hotel...

「The room is clean and tidy. The breakfast is good with different options. The hotel is a little bit far from the ferry pier, it takes about 25 mins to walk there. If you have luggage, you'd better call a taxi, the taxi fare is reasonable anyway. 」

「Love the location, rooms are beautiful and setting is idyllic. The only thing I could say is you have a designated bathroom for each room and our bathroom kept being used by other people staying in the property. Men who don’t clean up after themselves! The room key doesn’t lock the bathroom and all the other bathrooms were being used too for bathroom and showers never a dry/clean bathroom in the morning but not all rooms were occupied so I think both the other guest were just using any tbh not a...

「Room was great. Really clean and felt fresh. Our room was located across the street in a different building but only couple of seconds walk from the main building and person at check in desk walked us over to show us where it is. Very helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. Had a choice of English Brekfast or Vegetarian, cereals etc」

However, it sells itself as a luxury apartment and it doesn’t live up to it. Eg. In the bedroom there is only one bedside table and lamp. On one corner of the bed there is only six inches in which to get past. The wardrobe is not great quality and the sliding door comes of it’s rail easily.
