I can’t say enough about this house. We had 19 people in our group and had plenty of room. The kitchen was my favorite. It had everything you needed to cook most of our meals. The coffee pot had a missing lid that we could not use. I contacted the host and had a brand new coffee pot on our doorstep within an hour. our kids did not even want to leave the house the whole trip up because it was so nice. The game room was perfect for them.

Excellent stay - no complaints!

We had a great stay at this property. There were 15-20 of us depending on the day and we never felt crowded as the house is huge. In the pictures, I thought it looked a little dated, but it has an excellent luxurious feel in person. The master bath and steam shower were great, and the game rooms were fun. It would be great if the owner invested a little more in some of the smaller things. For example, the pool cues were garbage and there was no chalk. The fridge/freezer have been updated from the pictures and work fine. There is also a second fridge in the garage. I will flag the two-car garage is locked and used owners storage, which was slightly inconvenient. All that being said, our group had an excellent time regarding all the majorly important things required for a great stay!

Beautiful Breckenridge Home

We had an amazing stay at Cherry Ridge! This is a lovely, spacious home that has many wonderful amenities. There were 15 of us family members who like to have our personal space, and this large home provided that very well. The location is ideal. Using the path near the house, we were easily within walking distance from Main St. During our stay, we used a private chef service, Chef Nick with Epicurean which our concierge recommended. The meal was fabulous and served to us beautifully. We would definitely rent this home again!

Just Average - Great Location

Before we booked, we read the house was worn, dirty, & not well taken care of. We asked about those reviews & were told they’d all be taken care of. When we arrived, they were not. Door handles didn’t work or fell off, freezer broken, refrigerator almost impossible to open, oven knob labels unreadable/worn off, 1 of 2 ovens worked intermittently, Pacman broken, only 2 good-enough pool cues, foosball had 2 broken players, table shuffleboard missing a disc, lights above master bedroom couch broken, many windows around house didn’t open/close easily or at all, some screens ripped, drain under kitchen sink leaked, main floor bathroom faucet dripped for 7 days, outlet covers cracked, no wine opener, house alarm incessantly beeped until we were told to disconnect entire system, etc, etc. I could go on. As you see, nothing so tragic to ruin our vacation, but none should have occurred in a house of this stature. It’s a beautiful house with great location, but it’s not well taken care of. There was a garage freezer, but we shouldn’t have to rely on that in a house like this. We know things break, but there was no sense of urgency to get the freezer fixed. Our local contact, John, was good. He tried to fix some things, but as soon as he fixed 1, another popped up. By the 4th day, we stopped asking him to fix anything figuring we’re better off to make do with what we had to work with. We did 3 star instead of 2 only because of location & John. Other than that, just average.

Spectacular Views, Beautiful Property, Exceptional Management

We had a group of eight guys at the house for a ski trip. The house was perfect. Plenty of room. Great views. Easy access to downtown Breck and the mountain. Best of all, the AvantStay team is exceptional. Four-star service. Constant communication. Concierge was wonderful. I can't say enough good things about the AvantStay team.

Christmas Stay

The location and layout for this home was fantastic in Breckenridge for our large family. However, there were many things that really need work. Alarm panels did not work. There was a lot of cleaning that was not done well in advance. Many of the baths were missing the expected normal toiletries. The master bathtub looked fantastic, but we could not use it initially because there was not a stopper and some of the jets fell out. We could not fill the tub because there was not enough hot water. The kitchen was fairly well equipped but there were still several things that seemed to be missing. Several of the external and internal doors had handles that would not work or were falling off and could not be locked. I could go on, but there were quite a few things we would have expected to be much better in a home this nice and for the price we paid to use it.

Party Luxury vs. Home Luxury

This house is a very lived in home that seems to have been used for many parties. We were hoping this home would feel very grand, but instead there were many things that were broken, worn out, did not work and just made the overall experience feel very cheap. The front door lock and key is very finnicky to use. We could not figure out how to get it unlocked. Once we were able to using the suggestions of the property manager, it would lock again behind us so we used the entrance through the single garage the entire weekend. The house alarm beeped consistently throughout the day and night even after entering the code as recommended. A shower between two of the upstairs rooms was not operational during our stay which was very inconvenient. The shower curtain in the guest main level bedroom is a cheap pressure rod that is not the correct length and they jerry rigged it to stay up, but as soon as you use the shower it falls down on top of you. The towel rod in the upstairs bathroom between the bunk bed room and queen room was incorrectly hung in the drywall and is hanging on by threads. The beds are as hard as rocks in most every room except for the master bedroom--no one slept well. The light over the stove was full of dust and grime like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The lines and temperatures on the oven nobs are completely worn off so you don't know what temperature the oven is set at. The carpet in all of the bedrooms is stained, dirty and worn. The waterfall feature in the kitchen, if left running for any reasonable amount of time, started leaking which showed why the hardwood underneath the waterfall is cupped and needs repairing. The railing on the outside back deck is loose near the doorway. The one thing we appreciated was that they had dishes to accommodate 16 people. Otherwise, we were very disappointed with the quality of the home. If you are looking for a luxury home to treat your guests to a getaway in, I would think twice. I do want to mention that the local property manager was very friendly and communicative and helped as much as he could with issues throughout the entire stay.

It was a lovely property. The only problem was No air conditioning. It was quite warm in house. The management provided us with a lot of fans but still hard to sleep. Something I should’ve noticed on listing but being from the south, you assume any nice property would have.

Overall very nice, with a few things that need attention.

Property was clean and laid out very well for a large group. Would stay here again, but a few things need addressed. There was a very nice welcome package upon our arrival. Much appreciated! Now for the minor flaws. There is not a single ice maker in the entire house. Only four small ice trays in the freezer. The light switches are numerous and everywhere and most were difficult to use and many didn't work at all. Also had random lights turning off/on throughout the property during our stay. There is no covered parking even though the house has a three car garage. Entrance through the single car stall was cluttered with old broken belongings and trash cans. Not very welcoming. Many of the window cranks are broken and one bedroom had a window we could never get shut. The door locks on the sliding glass doors were next to impossible to use. The fridge and freezer in the kitchen took forever to get cold and once you shut the door to either side you had to wait 45 seconds in order to get it open again due to a vacuum that was created inside the unit. The other appliances in the kitchen were in need of replacement as well. Ovens were quirky at best with no way of telling what temperature they were set at. All the settings had been rubbed off over the years. The griddle did not work upon our arrival as well. There is no view from the back side of this house. It is all trees. The advertising photo shows the ski slope behind the house but you can not see it at all once on property. There were not any remotes for the tv's except for the one in the living room. The fireplace in the master bedroom did not work. I know that it seems like nit picking, but for over $1900/night we felt like these things needed to be fixed. Overall the house suited our needs and we would stay here again, but these fixes need to be considered. The property manager was prompt with replies to questions and easy to deal with. It was a good stay, but would have been great with a few fixes though.

Amazing place for a large group

This property is huge - it was even spacious for our group of 18 and included many amenities (small exercise room, arcade games, pool table, hot tub, etc.). We all wished we had stayed an extra night just to enjoy the property. The communication was excellent throughout our stay as well. This is not major, but we had initially thought that this place was by itself tucked away in the mountains based on the pictures; however, it is actually in a neighborhood with limited backyard mountain views because of the trees planted for privacy. You get beautiful views within just a few minutes walk/drive from the property. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone.
