“Difficult to rate staff as no staff! Check in automated which needed to be completed probably day before with photo ID. Room clean and well presented. Bed comfortable. Stairs to bedroom on top floor were fine for me but might be a challenge for someone less mobile. Good location.”

“Pretty basic guest house type hotel. Our room was nice and spacious with a jacuzzi bath which was good, it smelt of bleach when we arrived but we left the fan on which sorted that. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The floor was squeaky from the damp under the laminate but that is like many places in Brighton with the sea air. It was a last minute booking and was fine for our needs, with ample tea and coffee facilities (unlike many places that leave you the bare minimum). The only thing that……

“Room - our room was on the second floor, there is a balcony from the adjacent property that looks straight into the room and there is only a net curtain so no privacy. There was rubbish in the bathroom bin when we first entered the room which highlighted the lack of cleaning and attention to detail. The booking stated there was WiFi and a tv however neither worked. The location is close to the beach and local amenities however the surrounding properties have tenants loitering out front publicly……

“Too hot during heat wave, the room was at 33 degree while outside was just around 20. No cooling system. But it’s a good location and and the room is very tidy.”
