"My wife booked this hotel through Trivago, which was then processed via Expedia. After a long flight and difficult trip from Brisbane Airport, I arrived expecting a straightforward check-in process but instead found there was no reception area, only a sign directing me to use an app. For someone who mainly uses a phone for calls and emails, this was extremely confusing and stressful. After nearly an hour trying to work things out, my wife, who was in another state, had to step in and help. She downloaded the apps, completed the check-in process, provided a credit card for security purposes, contacted the company and arranged for access codes to be sent to me for both the building and my room. The room itself and our original nightly rate were very good value, however I feel there should be much clearer communication that this is a fully self-managed check-in process with no traditional reception. I was also disappointed that when I extended my stay by another two nights using the number provided in the room, I was charged an additional $60 per night compared with my original booking rate. Overall, not bad accommodation, but the check-in experience and pricing difference made the stay confusing and frustrating."

"We loved our stay here, what really made it a great stay was the staff. Every single staff member was so genuinely lovely and helpful. Not over the top or stiff, just genuine interactions. Valet parking was extremely quick with friendly & fantastic staff. Breakfast was great, wonderful staff again. Front desk were extremely welcoming and helpful. Executive lounge was nice bonus. Our room was lovely with a view of the bridge. My only criticism is the shower has very low pressure if you need to wash your hair. And the room was a bit stuffy, we noticed we felt very blocked up when we were in there for a long time and felt better once we were outside. It might’ve been from all of the recent rain perhaps. Not a huge issue, we mentioned to front desk upon check out and they appreciated the feedback and said would look into it. We would stay again without hesitation and recommend to friend and family."

"Checking in.... there was clear parking for where to park on check in. I had to phone them to find out where to park and come in for check in. The room decor was old. Thankfully Everything was clean, but old and dated. All timber chipboard cupboards were chipped and worn and doors didn't close properly. The bed was hollowed and sunken.... like it's the old original mattress from when it opened. Yes luckily the sheets and towels were clean. The curtains were hanging off the rails. The bathroom door for some reason was locked? I had to get a knife out of the draw to undo the lock. The bathroom needs to be completely re-tiled... tiles and grouting are damaged and black mouldy looking. The tap covers were loose and black and mouldy behind them. It was easy access to the city so that was the good thing about my stay. The allocated parking is best for smaller cars. The place could use some TLC and a bit of a make over.... it looks nothing like the photos on the Web site."
