“What a beautiful place. One of the best Caribbean views I have ever seen. Property manager and staff were always helpful and guided us to the best places for provisions and restaurants. It’s a tricky drive for first timers and roads are pretty bad, especially as you get near the estate. 4wd is a must, especially if it’s raining ”

“Gorgeous views and lovely host! We had an incredible 9 nights at Top of the Hill Blue Sunshine! From the start, Alfreda offered to pick us up from the ferry terminal and then, because we rented a car, offered to meet us at the bottom of the hill to show us the way up. From grocery store and restaurant advice to lively breezes and bedroom a/c, we couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend!”

“We really enjoyed our stay and Mindy was the best! The outdoor space was everything we wanted and being close to SugarCane and to the beach was perfect. We were surprised that the washer and dryer were not available for guest use, but the housekeepers would do laundry. Also, if you're a TV person, there's currently only one TV in the lower level bedroom.”

“Great space for 4 couples, bedroom air conditioning was welcomed both for cooling and dulling the rooster noise :-). Close to the airport. Great view, coffee and drinks on the balcony was perfect. Things to note - no toiletries provided, washer/dryer work but very long cycles so plan accordingly. House sits on top of a very steep hill providing great views but not great for walking, used a driver for every outing making it less convenient than being in town. ”

The home was clean, and had all of the amenities needed for a comfortable weekend. The view is amazing, and the area was quiet. The home is close to some very good dining and beaches. “We were a party of five, including a guest with cervical-spine issues, booked for a two-night mountain retreat. Instead, we faced a dangerous, unmarked route, misleading listing claims, and no host support ending with denied access and no refund.• Severe access concerns: Listing labeled it a “centrally located gem” with “easy access” and vague advice to use a “high clearance vehicle.” But the approach road is a narrow, rocky and bumpy, unpaved ramp exceeding a 45 incline with cliff‐side……

“We had a group of 10 adult friends. Everything about Sunset House was great. The staff treats you like you own the place. Meals are as good as anything on the island and more affordable (if that matters to you). Carmin the house manager is incredible to work with. Location is beautiful, but be advised, the hills on either side of the home are STEEP. If you are not athletic, you will struggle walking them to the beaches in either direction. Parking is convenient for ONE car on upper level and a……

“Lovely grounds and plenty of space to spread out. Would stay again—just a couple minor issues. Half of hot tub jets were not working, pool struggled to stay clear and one bungalow had faulty AC. Immigration workers questioned our address as being incomplete but we had no further details to give them. Property manager Katie is so kind and welcoming.”

“The spot is great, with spectacular views overlooking Marina Cay and to Tortola and Virgin Gorda in the distance. The beach is just a brief steep walk down the hill. The house is nicely proportioned with a big porch and three bedrooms of decent size. And while not fancy, it is certainly comfortable, clean and very pleasant. The hosts are incredibly attentive and responsive and provided boat transportation and guiding basically on demand. We had a great time.”
