“Really enjoyed our overnight stay. The twin room was spacious, beds and pillows so comfortable, and plenty of hot water for showers. The initial problem with the heating was sorted out very quickly. We had our evening meal here, and can highly recommend the food. What really stands out at The Carpenters Arms, is the staff. Many thanks to Richard, Holly and Paula and to everyone that helps make this such a great place. We would certainly be happy to stay again. ”

“Debra and Drew were very welcoming hosts. We used The Barn as a lauch pad to visit Chartwell and Knole. Perfect choice. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. We were spoilt for choice regarding local eateries. We chose The White Hart for dinner and it was top knotch. ”

“Fresh food, both dinner and breakfast were good. The staff were very friendly. Probably the biggest positive was the low room rate. I was very surprised to get my final bill. I think foreign tourists will love the combination pub/hotel.”

“Location is fine if you would like to visit Tonbridge School. Very convenient, less than 10 minutes walk from Tonbridge station. But the bed is too soft. ”
