The room upon arrival smelled horrible and was very dirty. The TV wasn't working and the heater would only work on high. The manager was also creeping us out. Everytime we turned around he was staring at us.

Power Shower at 10 gal per minute was the best part, and a surprise after the stay through the night. Heater was very noisy, needed me to shim the control know to cut the rattle significantly. Bed frame had exposed lumber ready to crack my shins. Sink area appeared to have significant leak. Staff friendly but not present until a longer wait at front office, both coming and going.

Staff was not friendly, the room was not ready. No towels in room, holes in the wall behind the bathroom door. Staff had excuses for everything, then staff parked in our parking spot when we left for dinner. We ask that the vehicle be moved, that took some time and more excuses. We will not stay here on our next trip to brookings Oregon.

For the price I wasn't expecting much, but the other clientele yelling and shouting all night, the lack of cleanliness, the bare bones amenities, everything combined ended up with us cutting the trip short by a night just to get out of there.

We historically have had a good experience with this hotel and staff... we arrived at 5:30pm 12/25/25 to find no staff on site, office empty. We called the phone number on the sign, was told to come back in an hour or two, since it was Christmas and the rep was eating dinner. We were willing to be reasonable , even though there were nearly no stores nor restaurants on xmas... We came back 2.5 hours later, and still nobody, no answer on the phone. Two more cars pulled up to check in, one stating they were told the same thing. Once the rep showed up, due to a computer issue, he wasn't able to make us a key card. He was very nice, but he was stuck. So, trying to help by using the master key, he got our room unlocked so we could get unpacked and rest. When we went into the room, the room was unclean, the bed was made, but the sheets were filthy with human hair. When we brought it to the reps' attention, he tried to get us another room, but there were limited options, so he gave us a full new/clean bedding set so we could make the bed with fresh bedding. So we could do it... The next day, the manager returned, I told her what happened, no apologies, no compensation or giving of any credit for the gross inconvenience of having to clean our own hotel room... and still no room key. Computer still not making keys yet. It was 2pm 12/26/25 before we had a card key to our room. I waited 5 days to see if there would be any apology or compensation for being given a dirty room... Nothing.

This motel must be owned or ran by people on drugs. There are broken down vehicles filled with trash in the parking lot, people roaming around all hours of the night and the staff appier to be part of the nefarious activities. The staff were friendly, but overall this place felt like a nightmare.

Chose this location specifically for a kitchenette. There was only a sink and hot plate. There were not even any forks and despite asking twice we were told the manager would bring them - never happened. The MOST uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. I literally ached every time I got out of bed. Could not find a thermostat to turn on heat. The staff finally found a wall heater behind the lounge chair. It blew a circuit when turned on. It appears to be a new door to the unit. The door does not fit the door frame. There was daylight all around the door which means the dead bolt is hardly engaged - does not feel very safe. Will not stay here again.

Waited 40 minutes for check in person to return from lunch, Called number she left and ask how long before she would be back and all she would tell me was, not long. Called again after 30 minutes and got no answer. Finally showed up about 3:30. My wife went out for a walk about 4:30 and there was a man trying to check in and very upset, the office was closed and no response to phone calls. Totally unacceptable. Also the floor in the room was very dirty.
