“The hotel is an old building so don't expect the rooms to be modern...having said that there was everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable and warm and the included breakfast was more than adequate. Check in was super easy. Be aware that there is a flight of steps to go up to all rooms so if mobility is an issue this could be a little tricky The bathrooms are shared but are close to all rooms and the showers were nice and hot. The shower was not properly sealed, so water easily leaked out onto the floor. Also, the lack of a bathroom ventilation fan left the room quite humid after hot showers, even with the small window left open overnight.”

“My impression of the Big 4 Big River Holiday Park was a disappointment, over priced for what was on offer. This Park was tidy, but lack shaded areas or greenery, has a very mediocre (small) size gated swimming pool. The two bedroom cabins are very small containing a matchbox size bathroom, the shower floor tiles are extremely slippery, with the shower hot and cold water hard to regulate. The slope down to the riverside from the cabin was too steep if for anyone mobility issues. On the positive……

“Family trip. We wish we could stay there longer to enjoy the silent ambient and also the facilities. We have a big room and it is very convenience to parking our car directly at the front door of our "house". We encountered a snake at the pool and the staff there attended it and helped monitor it to ensure we feel safe. ”

“Was pretty clean and comfortable except Beds are very hard. Well priced but could do with some extras like extra towels and blankets, a hand towel, washing up liquid, a chux to wipe benches, a water jug for the fridge and ice cube trays. Inside was pretty nice but outside is right next to the stables and the smell was pretty bad. Thankfully couldn’t smell it inside with windows closed. Overall good value for money”
