Sight seeing in Brussels

Location of apartment was excellent for viewing central Brussels and sights. The location is quiet, no disturbed nights. Metro close by.We heard nothing from the host not even at booking despite messaging on VRBO a week before our trip and had to use VRBO to make contact. We requested information about access but didn't receive this until we were actually at the door. Coming from the UK this was disconcerting as sometimes our mobiles do not work or pick up a local network. The keypad requires an electricity supply for entry and the power went down in the block during our stay so this was also unsettling.Be sure to be travelling with a good friend as there is only a curtain on the bathroom "door".Having said all this the apartment worked well for our stay.

Fuyez.L'hébergeur nous a fait faux bond alors que nous etions en bas de l'appartement...Heureusement le service Abritel est là...Remboursement de la location (encore heureux) et prise en charge d'une partie de la nouvelle loc jusqu'à la valeur de la première.Nous avons donc dû trouver une nouvelle loc en urgence... Et là coup de theatre, l'hébergeur nous appelle pour nous dire quil a un autre location a nous proposer... Trop louche, ça sent l'arnaque. Nous avons dû trouver une autre

Sent elsewhere to a different flat in a dodgy area where the sheets were stained and drains smelly

We tried to contact the host before arrival re how to access the flat and he replied to say he would tell us how to get in before/in good time. He didnt. We took the metro to close to the flat and only then did we get a message to say there was a flood and he would offer us a different flat. But for more money. We refused to pay more. He agreed we could go there. We took the metro to the other side of the city and just as we got there he sent us to a flat near Gare du Midi which was smelly (drains) and had stained sheets. Also did not feel safe to leave at night once my friend had returned to London cotyy
