"it’s a nice boutique hotel but the rooms are cozy and not too bad. Also, the hotel is very close to the airport but middle of nowhere. If you have to take a taxi service to Bowmore, which is the town center, for meals, It will cost 40 poundsround-trip. The hotel has a restaurant on site but sort of limited menu if you have any kind of meal restrictions or limitations. It is also close to a beach and has a golf course. The beach is beautiful and such a nice walk from the hotel."

"We stayed two nights and loved the place. Charming, authentic, cool place with lots of space to relax. Old but that’s the point as has some history. Walking distance from ferry as we were on foot. Food offerings were great and well prepared. Staff very friendly and accommodating. No rigid rules and they always found solutions. Beds comfortable, amenities were good. Would recommend for sure. "

"David is a great host. Very quick to respond. The cottage is very clean. Internet was fast. Beautiful quiet area. Good to arrive to Coffee & tea and biscuits and milk in the fridge, cleaning products and bin bags all the basics. The central heating was on when I arrived late at night so the cottage was cosy and warm. Plenty of hot water. The kitchen and dining area is very light and spacious with great views of countryside. The cottage is next to a working farm so lots of sheep and cows. I was visiting friends and family ten minutes walk away. You do need to have a car when staying here, there is nothing but beautiful scenery and peace and quiet. Shops and restaurants are not within walking distance. But nothing is too far away and there is never a traffic jam on Islay and always something to see ! "
