"Mill House is a perfect property to enjoy some relaxing family time, there is everything you need and we all loved playing pool in the evenings. There are lots of walks from the doorstep, even Keswick is only a couple of miles down a trail and there are lots of buses. We didn’t use the car for the whole time we were there. Hopefully we will be back again soon."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a lovely stay at The Royal Oak in Rosthwaite. It’s a beautiful, quaint hotel with so much character, set in a gorgeous location. The staff were absolutely fab — so friendly and welcoming — and the food was fantastic. Everything about the hotel made it feel relaxed and homely, and we really enjoyed our stay. I’d definitely recommend The Royal Oak to anyone looking for a lovely Lake District break. We’ll absolutely be back! ❤️"

"What a beautiful location! Been coming to the lakes since I was a boy so took my family of seven and it surpassed our expectations - right on the lake and perfect location for lots of activities around the north lakes / Keswick area, including a circular walk up Cat Bells right from your door!Look past some tiredness of the house itself (this should be expected of old houses in these locations but is still done lovely in my opinion) and be aware footpath in front of house gets busy as it's part of Derwent water circular walk - this is a great place to stay if want to experience the lakes. Will be booking again"
