“Nice environment, nice staffs and nice breakfast!”

“The setting in such a quiet rural location but only minutes from Wadebridge and the cottage suited us perfectly for our purpose for being in the area. We had some queries about the property before arrival and found Sykes support lacking but the house keeper for the cottage was really helpful and was able to help us on 2 occasions with instant replies. What a difference a real person makes! The cottage was lovely and warm, very clean and organised with a new kitchen and appliances that were……

“Room could have been cleaner. Hair in tub still, fingernail clipping behind door. Restaurant was very busy and we needed reservations to eat. Was not pointed out upon arrival. Restaurant ran out of some menu items by the time we could eat. Food was meh. This hotel is farther away from city center and to get to more eating places is about 20 minute walk. Good for getting in and out of each day, not good for food when we got back. Breakfast was ok, but they were slow to replace items that……

“First time we stayed in a Shepard hut . Went to Cornwall for some surfing at various beaches . The hut is very close to wadebridge shops and pubs and there’s local supermarkets close as well . It’s very very quiet and private as well , and there’s a log burning hot tub , at the property as well and a couple of sun loungers .there is some cooking equipment if you are prepared to make a meal using 2 hob stove . As I can cook almost anywhere given a pot and a heat source I found it ok to cook meals……

“We enjoyed a wonderful stay in the 'Nauti' Shepherd's hut. It was so cosy, warm, clean and immaculately presented. The bed was super comfortable and everything we could have needed was provided. A great location, with a peaceful and relaxing countryside setting. Great communication from the hosts. We will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommended for a cornish get away. ”

“Pub / hotel was really nice, room was good we were up in the eaves so had to watch your head a bit… good value for money. We had some bad weather in the form of wind and a bit of rain but was still nice venturing out to the headland for a walk. Breakfast was good is lovely to see a decent pub doing well.. ”

“Beautiful hotel in prime location overlooking the estuary and Padstow harbour. couple of minutes walk to harbour and amenities. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. Room was spacious and well equipped. Amazing views from the restaurant. To be honest it’s difficult to find anything we were not happy with at all. Highly recommended ”

“Really accommodating, great hotel for the family ”

“We arrived at the hotel late and upon arrival had a sign saying under renovations. No pool/spa/gym/food. Room was ok. However interconnecting door unlocked which puzzled the staff as to why we would want to lock it. 2nd night bar then closed and had to request more milk pots as no laundry service/restock had taken place. Overall disappointed with the stay and feel it should be closed during renovations. The resort could be amazing but needs a lot of repairs. For what was a basic room……
