"The location of the house was very on enient for visiting Canterbury and the area. The host was very responsive to our questions and concerns. The kitchen has an excellent stove and oven but the accompanying cooking supplies are modest and in need of updating. "Nice home in perfect central location with comfortable beds, good hot showers, and a stocked kitchen. There was only a tea towel for our 5-night stay, so we bought paper towels and left the remainder for the next guests. The comprehensive house manual is something you don’t always get with a rental, but theirs was full of useful info about the home and Canterbury. "1 3/4 bed, not double although enough space in bedroom for a king size, and I'm sorry to say, the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever experienced. Dead flies and spider webs around the property but otherwise fairly clean. Small TV. Impractical bath, no shower curtain, had to shower crouched in the bath to avoid water spilling over the bath. Bathroom door doesn't shut or gets stuck if managed to close. Muddy parking area. Beautiful property, nicely decorated and lovely area"

"We loved our stay and the staff were all helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was heavenly as was our late evening dessert. Very well maintained property."

"Peaceful and scenic dog friendly hotel within 30 minute drive of Eurotunnel. Hotel has a golf course as well as large grounds with fields to walk the dog. Quality of food at hotel was good & you can bring your dog in the bar area when having dinner from bar or restaurant menu. Food and drink was, however, a little pricey. The dog fee of £30 per night per dog, nearly put us off booking the stay, as we were traveling through Europe and staying at hotels in Germany, Austria, France, Italy where they charge only 10 or 15 EUR in dog fee per dog per night."

"We had a 'cozy' room, meaning tiny, but it was nicely furnished with a TV and nice bathroom with a strong shower. The receptionist staff was friendly and helpful, pointing out the happy hour at the bar. 2 for 1 deal plus a cheese plate. The hotel is centrally located with parking behind ( parking in Canterbury is expensive). Very close to the town center and restaurants. Decent breakfast choices. The 14th century building successfully marries old and modern."

"Central location, perfect for exploring the city on foot, and easy access from the train station Room was clean with hot shower, towels and toiletries, and kettle with tea/coffee: all we needed for an overnight stay after a wedding reception. Sanjeewa made us very welcome and helpfully let us store luggage after check-out. A varied continental breakfast was a great start to the day. Thank you Sanjeewa"
