Our stay was lovely. The house was charming and the location was just the best. Our only issues were some appliance issues but the rental manager was very helpful. Our family had a wonderful time in Cape Charles!!!

Wonderful house

The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The location is perfect, we walked to the beach and into town every day. The owners were very responsive with our few requests. Will definitely return.

Great location steps from the main drag (Mason) and the Bay, w/ plenty of space to spread out, share a meal, and play games inside when it rained. The lock was a bit tricky, so be sure to take a key w/ you just in case.

Family Vacation

Always Sunny served us well. The three levels with bedrooms worked great. The top floor has short steep steps, but was fine for our daughter. The downstairs bedroom gets a little stuffy at night, we plan to bring a fan the next time. The kitchen, dining area and living room were wonderful. We enjoyed preparing meals there. There wasn’t a cutting board that we could find. We stacked a couple paper plates together to slice veggies. Bed and bathroom linens are provided. Bring your own kitchen towels and beach towels. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the morning, and s’mores in the back yard in the evening. We used a little “city burner” for s’mores. The town is very walkable. We did not need a golf cart. Most of the shops close at 6:00. Beach wagons worked great. The beach closet was well stocked. The house was a great fit for our family. We hope to be back soon!

Always Sunny is the perfect location for the beach and downtown Cape Charles. Home was well stocked, loved having a bathroom on each floor and the fenced in area was great for our kids. Our host was easy to communicate with and gave detailed check in and check out instructions. We look forward to returning!

Perfect week!

The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. It’s a quick walk to the beach (one block) and two blocks to town. We were two families with little kids and we had plenty of space. I would recommend Cape Charles and this home.

Relaxing Family Gathering

This home was the perfect option for our family reunion. Several of us came in from other states and spent 3 wonderful, relaxing days in Cape Charles. There was plenty of space and comfortable seating for visiting and the beautiful beach was just a short walk away. The home was exactly as pictured. It was clean, well-maintained and perfect for our group of 8. We rented a golf cart and had so much fun exploring the area. We would love to return again soon!

Ideal Location

The location of this property was ideal. We rented a golf cart but you could skip that with this property since it is located so close to the beach as well as all the shops and restaurants. My only complaint would be the kitchen. We generally do not cook much but a larger fridge would have been nice and all food we did try to cook stuck to the pans no matter how much butter we used.

Location, layout, check-in all great. Dropping a couple stars due to the cleanliness of the place. The kitchen was full of old/open food. The kitchen was also filthy (dirty dishes, dirty freezer/fridge, crumbs everywhere including the washer dryer) The house was also still full of sand when we checked in. I'd also like to add that the front large bedroom only had temporary paper shades that kept falling down. The towels were far to small as well. I think this is just a mgmt company issues. I would still consider staying there again, the house itself is good.

Nice but too expensive

The amount we paid for a late September weekend is too much. The house is nice but would have expected a few extra touches for such a pricey place. it was really the only thing available. Here are the fees from the property manager passed on to the guest: linen fee booking fee cleaning damage waiver (?) What This is simply too much. And for this we would have expected a few other touches. There were no blankets in my bedroom for the cold nights No response from property manager on text asking about late checkout

Great location, happy memories!

The house was perfect for our group - there were multiple generations on the various floors, which made the house feel cozy and functional. Every room looked beautiful and new, while retaining some of the older house charms. It is a perfect location for walking or golf carting to the beach, nearby park / playground, and Cape Charles restaurants & shops. The property managers were very responsive during check-in (we couldn't get the key code to work) when we first arrived. They also called a plumber to check on a water issue and that was resolved promptly as well. We used the side garden for family meals and some soccer games with out toddlers. We also did sidewalk chalk and the grandparents read books on the rocking chairs on the porch. We were lucky to have ideal weather the whole trip. We are so glad we took our family trip here and would highly recommend to others!

Always sunny

This house is a beauty — very tastefully renovated while retaining the charm with great use of space. Bedrooms on all 3 levels, a well-appointed kitchen, and large dining table accommodated our family’s needs perfectly. Location could not be improved upon — short walk to the beach and town. This was our first time in Cape Charles and felt like we discovered a hidden gem. Would love to come back!

Wonderful Week in Cape Charles at Always Sunny

This home made our vacation so comfortable, even with a rainy day. Home was well appointed and included games and other fun activities to occupy us on a rainy day. Was so close to downtown that a trip for ice cream or dinner at the Shanty was an easy walk or golf cart ride away. The close beach access made it great for running back and forth with the little ones. What a great week.
