Perched in the quiet hills of Carbondale, this Southwestern-style 2-bed, 2-bath casita offers sweeping Mt. Sopris views, refined rustic charm, and rare privacy. With kiva fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, A/C, and a fenced yard perfect for slow mornings and starlit nights, every detail invites you to linger. Just minutes from Whole Foods, Basalt, and Carbondale, it's a soulful mountain retreat worth returning to.
Out this way, the mountains rise a little higher and time moves just a touch slower. This thoughtfully designed Southwestern-style casita, nestled in the hills above Carbondale, feels like a well-kept secret—where the scent of piñon lingers in the air and the sun casts golden light across Mt. Sopris each morning. Inside, high ceilings and panoramic windows frame pastureland and snow-dusted peaks, while the open-concept layout blends comfort with intentional design. The kitchen is fully equipped for meals made from scratch or shared takeout by the fire. Nooks throughout offer places to read, sip, and settle in.
Both bedrooms are generously sized and designed with serenity in mind. The primary suite features a king bed, expansive Sopris views, ensuite bath, and a deep sense of calm. The second bedroom mirrors this comfort with another king bed, pasture views, a gas kiva fireplace, and an ensuite that also connects to the main living space. You'll also find a washer/dryer tucked discreetly within.
The living room's Crate & Barrel couch unfolds into a queen-size sleeper, offering space for two more guests without sacrificing ease.
