“This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted. “Our room was excellent - recently decorated with good facilities - our only problem was with the shower (no instructions). We had an evening meal which was very well presented. No breakfast available but there are coffee shops and cafes in the village. The staff were very helpful. We would happily stay here again.”

“It was during one of the high temperatures inEngland and tho it had two fresh air windows the host only allowed one. a small bathroom size window for ventilation plus a small fan. I asked him to open the other window / door but was denied seeming me to leave the property after one nite due to a high temp room . Host was not very helpful tho I asked to change rooms. Also no shade on deck . Would not stay here again .”

“Staff were amazing, we stayed during a heatwave and they were helpful with ice from the bar. Other instances such as needing forks, hangers in our room and new towels were treated with the same professionalism ! The rooms do need a bit of updating but for what it was the price is exstremely reasonable. The room was very clean when we arrived. We didn’t have any housekeeping during our stay, but that is our preference so this did not affect us. Ideal stay as a couple visiting Cardiff or the……
