The ice machine was broken, and had been broken for 2 months. There was not a breakfast bar. The rear door to the facility was unsecure 24/7. The front desk staff was very courteous. If you just need a place to lay your head without any of the amenities This is the place for you. One last thing,The bathtub had peeling paint on the inside But The bathroom was clean.

Staying at this studio townhouse in the Sandia Mountains has been a great experience. It combines traditional New Mexican charm with modern touches in a really cool and comfortable setup. The views are stunning, and the setting is perfect if you love nature or the outdoors. Peaceful, scenic, and a great place to relax—highly recommend!

They had some renovations going on but the location was perfect. Our room was clean. Staff was helpful. Food was close by. We were comfortable and had what we needed. The price was good for what we got.

Upon arrival, there was a toilet bowl setting outside the front door. We did arrive early and the receptionist was kind enough to check us in. Granted that there was a lot of renovation going on, but there was a lot of dust everywhere. The hotel was not ready to receive guests and should have at least stated that it was going through construction. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

No pets allowed, but the computer doesn't say so.

The staff was very helpful. Pets are not allowed, but the computer did not tell me that. I had to sneak my little dog in the back door, and take her there for walks and "potty." No breakfast, no computer in the lobby. Still the price was excellent for the quality of the room.

Facelift

They're giving the place a facelift and there's slight construction visible. Looking very good so far. Only thing not quite up to par for this visit was missing handle on shower knob that had a new and extremely stiff/hard to turn valve to operate the shower but was still usable. Parking here is excellent for my truck with trailer and always a good quiet stay.

The room was clean, but it had a strange smell to it. The handle on my shower came off and I had to use a pair of channel locks to turn the shower on. I talked to two other people and they had problems with their shower as well. There was construction going on so there was no breakfast bar. I have stayed at some of their other properties that were top notch, this one needs a little TLC. I will say that the staff and the customer service reps were very nice.

We asked for a king size bed.....upon arrival all they had regarding king size bed the only one was on the third floor and there was NO elevator. We took two queen beds first floor as we are seniors with limited mobility. Towel rack was gone. Loud noise of chld running overhead late into the night making us wonder if any adult was there. BIGGEST concern was entrace door at rear no security on it did not lock ....card entry was totally broken. Washing machines literally in main corridor. We were very disappointed appearance of being a dump. Add from which we booked said they had a "breakfast" actually NO they have not had one since COVID!!!

This was a scary place. The card reader for the back door was smashed and there was no control over access. The walls in the bathroom had multiple holes where towel bars had been pulled off. There were patches in odd places that appeared to be repaired holes. When you entered the back door, you were confronted with 2 sets of steps. The steps going down were dark and the lighting near our door was dim. The water never got hot, just lukewarm. My husband went to the lobby to get coffee. The clerk rudely told him to use his "room coffee". We had been on a trip and this was the last stop, having stayed 3 nights in previous Super 8s. Those were clean, well lit, had personable clerks and offered breakfast and coffee. Yet the price charged in Carlsbad was slightly higher. Avoid this hotel.

The staff were nice. We had a do not disturb sign up and every time we left the sign would be down and the housekeeper would have been in the room and exchanged the towels. It’s not that big of a deal except we had the sign up and the house keeper did not respect our privacy. She went all 3 days. I did not say anything about it because it was just the towels that she would pick up and replace. What was frustrating was when I asked for toilet paper, she told me I had to go to the front desk. There was some on her cart. The stay was okay other than that. You get what you pay for.

Cold showers, gap between door and the frame are my two biggest complaint. The water just would not get warm. And I didn't feel like I had any privacy with that rather large gap between the door and the frame. Staff was nice over all and it was clean I would say.
